it depends. if there is heavy emphasis on a kind of part 1 / part 2 narrative thing, then i might get the first one first. otherwise, it usually doesn't matter. but also, depends on the reviews - some sequels improve on their originals.

games amaze me all the time. i think there's enough good games each year to get excited about. sometimes it's just the little things that are interesting.
