@Musicsvictim: When Phluffy Phil throws fluffs words like "game entitlement", you already know you are in XB BS....ONCE AGAIN!
Show us the games, show us the chet (like new games & a stream of backwards compatibility, & other games that have not been on XB) and don't talk down to us as if we don't know any better and are not aware of your schemes.
Is that too much to ask?
If the Phluffmeister does release 2026 only all digital consoles, I will be done with XB permanently...it is way past enough man & I am just exhausted of it! And I was such an XB fanboy battling the Ponies.
I gotta be honest, the last time I was excited about XB was back in 2013 for Killer Instinct, Lococycles, & that Panzer Dragoon game. I thought this is to start and that there would be tons more games.
Instead we get Minecraft, its offshoots, Hellblade & Sea of Thievery, games that I can't play even for free. How is it possible I have been waiting since 2013-14 for false promises and hopes, proclaiming each year that this will be the year...I AM EXHAUSTED OF MS!!!!!
No disc drive in 2026 will mean NO MORE MS FOR ME!!!!!!!
I can't fkn believe this, like we are in the Twilight Zone...these idiots can't figure ANYTHING out. Not even a console NAME!
I bought a XB OG & XB360 to play the BRO games like Gears, FEAR, Crysis, Alien vs Predator, Serious Sam, Battlefield, COD...etc. Make more of those type games only better & next gen! I don't play Ori, Minecraft, Hellblade or Sea of Thieves, although those are fine to exist as others will enjoy them. Make a Helldivers KILLER!!!!
At the VERY LEAST make a House of the Dead next gen killer, one with new lightgun tech that you cannot play anywhere else. Make clones of Super Punchout, F-Zero, Waverace, Wipeout, Cruis'n USA, Daytona USA, Ridge Racer, Sega Rally, Top Gun, HAWX, Blur...so many great games people miss!!!!
And if your next gen consoles have no discs....GOODBYE!
@lonewolf1044: For me the consoles & hand-helds were in a "special" class. If I wanted to rent my timed games I would have gone to an arcade, but I wanted a home console where I can play my physical discs anytime I want. It is something more than just playing a game, to hold that fresh new disc and see it on your shelf is an experience and the more one liked the game the bigger the impact.
You remove that from me and there is no more reasons to buy games, where before I spent thousands on games. I will just play free-to play games then and buy an occasional game on PC, because at least on the latter they are cheaper.
A game like Pacer never fakin goes on sale on the XB, it did on the PS store, but not the XB. If XB does this and PS does not, they are done and they are already on THIN ice with many of us.....THIIIINNNNNN!!!!!
