@illegal_peanut: The adds for Wish made it look boring. Same with Elemental and the last few Disney animated movies. Encanto only became a hit because that Bruno song did the marketing for them. Whoever they have putting those trailers together needs to be replaced.
@777: Miller probably played a part, but I think DC movies are bombing consistently because the universe is getting rebooted, and people were sick of it anyway. We'll see how Aquaman does, but I expect it will make this list next year.
@davillain: Yeah, Trevorro's script had a few weird ideas I didn't like, but overall would have made a much more coherent ending to the trilogy. Wish that could have happened.
Really though, RoS should have been delayed, first when Carrie Fisher died, and again when Trevorro left. But Bob Iger just really wanted Episode 9 out before he retired I guess.
This sucks, but was bound to happen eventually with EA in charge. I'm actually surprised and glad Codemasters Cheshire was merged with Criterion. Its a good fit. Thought for sure they would be shut down after Dirt 5.
@ZombieVirolina: The couldn't do anything with X-Men until Disney bought Fox, and Ms. Marvel was part of the plan to bring them into the MCU. Now that this bombed, it may take even longer to get that going.
Doom Patrol and Legends of Tomorrow turned into my favorite shows of their respective universes. I think the fact they could get so out there, and leaned more toward comedy than drama, helped them stand out as the genre got saturated.
