@GoldenElementXL: I dont know man, I have a good idea of how immersive it would be from others reactions and detailed explanations. I have a mind that is good at simulating situations and mechanical things without seeing them in person, lol like Einstien maybe ;) I can tell that I would be completely overwhelmed by it, literally taking me to another world, would be intense.

@GoldenElementXL: @GoldenElementXL:Sure about close up, like i mentioned with my crt. Do they have the tech to shrink pixels down enough to get these small screens pixel dense enough to appear clean and smooth? I would think having 1200 lines on such a small screen would look better than that, even if so close. I thought they where using the pixel dense screens from the new phones but they must cost too much right now.

I think the part I must be missing here is the actual size of the screens. They must be bigger than I think, I can see it then would be a problem at that res.

@GoldenElementXL: Oh wow, didnt know it was that bad. I thought since the phones now days are so pixel dense, that the Vive and rift would be much better than that. Now these pics are a good representation of how your eyes perceive the pixels? Or is it exaggerated by camera zooming in etc.?

I mean it matters how close your eyes are to the screen. I could make my 27 in crt look the same way with a camera using its zoom or right up on it, over exaggeration of course. If these pics where taken closer than your eye distance in the headset, or at eye distance but zoomed in, so someone could show the pixels easier, then its a bad comparison.

I could see a vr hater doing something like this or someone who just didnt know any better.

Those are zoomed in pics you can tell, cant even see a full select icon with its text. Poor representation, the rift had the better resolution and the person taking the shot had to zoom in further bc of this. They didnt have to zoom in as much with the vive bc it has lower res.

But even so, I'm taking your word for it since you have experienced it, which sets have you used?

@GoldenElementXL: The vive seems to look very sharp from the monitor representation of in game gameplay, some demo's look like real life almost, the under the sea one. Considering I thought the Vive was using high res screens from modern phones. Maybe less so with the oculus and its something that you just accept for price point with psvr. So anyone buying a psvr should not feel bad about it, they can still have a fun immersive experience.

It will be really cool for a while but the walking problem will kill it. You need to be riding or driving something. I saw the warp mechanic for movement and it just is not going to cut it.

@trugs26: Yeah I agree, its hard to try and get an idea of how involved he actually is now days. The games where we know he was front and center where all incredible. Would be nice if he took the lead on a new Zelda game. Playing TP:HD and Ocarina recently, its apparent that his heavy influence makes a big difference. OoT is a lot more fun and has the older Nintendo magic in it compared to TP.

@csward: I thought Miyamato was lead developer on game working with platinum. If he was not involved and he knew the game was going to be a upset, why would he associate himself with it at all? You think he would keep his involvement with the game, as low as possible.
