for the 2 question if you remember at the ending of T1 sarah had crushed the terminator with the machine thing and the terminator had its arm sticking out. well somehow skynet took the arm and whatever was left of the chip in the head. the black guy charles if you remember him in T2 he started building around the chip and the arm thus why they wanted to destroy the arm and the chip. because of charles is why the terminator existed. if he didnt build off from those parts there wouldent be any arnolds. now the terminator was captured by the humans and reprogrammed and sent back into the future to protect john from the t-1000. at the same time destroying the arm and chip in the fire. but like said you cant stop the end from happening.
