Harder to program on PS3 is no excuse. A good system allows easier coding to make the console more accessible to the developer, thus increasing the quality. While I like both Xbox and PS3 very much, I have to say Xbox did a great job bringing easier system to build games on, which is an advantage and cannot be used as an excuse to make you feel a little better about PS3. Btw, in case you haven't realized, both system looks perfectly fine, and that seems to be the message gamespot is trying to give.

I love how my PSP-1000 LCD screen looks exactly alike PSP-3000 LCD screen as advertised by Sony. Those Sony picture comparisons only show the Sony sold us with the first version of PSP boasting that its awesome, then 3 years later comes back with newer version saying that their previous version is crap and those who bought it made a huge mistake.

Here are my pros and cons on all three systems. PS3 Pros - Probably the best graphic system when it comes out, backward compatibility, online services, wireless motion controller, alot of japanese game developer support, probably pretty much everything PS2 used to offer when it first came out, and blue ray player right out of the box. Cons - Many of the pros is in the "probably" sections...including online support, the question of how much better the graphics on PS3 will be compared to Xbox360, their first online services(they did a horrible job on PS2), wireless motion controller in queston still as to what it is capable of(is it as good as Wii controller or does it do something else etc etc), and last but not least, developers find the development cost too much and is not attracted by PS3's developing environment, machine's price, and the question of its success with the price. Oh and possibility of blue ray DVD = betamax from Sony. Xbox360 Pros - Great graphics, best online services(5 million xbox live users so far), it's on the way to second wave of titles, and developers love the developing environment with it. Cons - Most likely loses in everything to PS3 in raw specs, anticipation of it is lower due to PS3 and Wii launch, not too much of great game titles yet, no motion controllers, no HD-DVD right out of the box, and no HDMI Wii Pros - it's controller. This is huge because it will offer totally different games from Xbox and PS3. Cheap machine price, and developers love this machine due to it's cheap development cost and new things they could do. This means more games for Wii. Cons - Graphics aren't new gen. Loses everything in raw spec against xbox and PS3, Online services still in question, what kind of games other than swinging your controller around that makes Wii enjoyable still in question From my thoughts, people will buy either Xbox or PS3 in the beginning to start with, and buy Wii along with it as well. If this becomes true, Wii will outsell Xbox and PS3. One person said PS3, then Xbox, then Wii, but I think it's more like PS3 or Xbox + Wii for each houses. If you really need an answer from someone, I would say "wait until PS3 and Wii comes out and see what console wins the war".
