Ya in terms of the community, I'm kind of hoping that UT3 turns out to be a sleeper hit. I admit that I've been playing TF2 and crysis and CoD4 a lot more than UT3, but i'm bored with crysis and cod4 so I'm going to be playing UT3 a lot more. BTW i think that all of the compaints about gameplay speed being slower are pretty unfounded... the game is lighting fast just like ut2k4, its just that I think people might be parroting some of the other people's complaints.
Ya epic is no stranger to poor game recpetion. NO ONE liked 2k3 when it came out and in response Epic released 2k4 which was exceptional. I'm really hoping that they take a similar approach to UT3. Even though I think that the game is incredible, there are a lot of people who find a lot of problems with it. I wouldn't be super surprized if they released a UT2k8 some time soon as either an expansion or a stand alone.
I don't believe that the game comes preconfigured if you're going to use an Xbox control on the pc. Does that answer your question? It can be done, but i don't know why you would, cause a mouse is more accurate in FPS games
Dawn of War: Dark Crusade is definately the best RTS I've played in a very long time, the depth and strategy is the best. Medival 2 isn't a true RTS game as much, but it is definately high on the list.
