I'm a self-proclaimed fan boy of Dark Souls. It's never fun to hear someone be negative about things we like, but how we react to those criticisms exemplifies our maturity (and in some cases, our intelligence.)

I've never cared who else liked these games. Demon's Souls had a small-ish following, and the fan base seems to have grown with every installment, but I'm indifferent as to how many millions of copies are sold.

My only hope is that From Software doesn't change their style (difficulty, hopeless atmosphere, no hand-holding) in an effort to appeal to a broader audience and procure more sales. So far they've maintained their loyalty to their die-hard fans, let's pray they continue to do so.
