Hmm....just like every other Ubisoft game; it's almost 2020 and they haven't figured out how Open/Closed Beta periods are supposed to work and how every other game designer in the world uses them. Most titles will have a closed/open beta about 6 months (or earlier) from the initial release. That way, the player base can find issues with the game, broken mechanics, texture flaws, etc...that way, developers can address these issues and fix them before the final release. However, with Ubi; they release the open beta like 3 weeks before release; so no matter what's found, there's no way they can fix the tons of crap that players inevitably find. So...if the issues are SOMEHOW addressed before launch (ha! not likely); the game ships with a huge patch or has to have a big patch within the first few days or week after launch.

And why the hell do I have to have full-time, Internet connectivity to play the game? This isn't 1998, where hacker nerds are on street corners or hosting FTP sites with hacked/cracked versions of games to install on peoples' PCs. There's literally no reason to keep the damned game connected to the Internet at all times. Certainly, a big draw was being able to play solo, but with support. Now...we have no AI teammates. Anyone familiar with UPlay can tell you how bad it is to play with stranger-trolls on UPlay. Man...guys, stop letting us down by giving us 10-11 new ideas/features and making the infrastructure and/or internal workings of the game worse and worse. UPlay is the heart of the problem and just needs to go.
