@oldtobie I made this video because the potential of VR to enhance games is what interests me, and I thought it would interest our audience, too. In my experience, it's extremely difficult to convey how great virtual reality is, so I thought this method of showing people's reactions as they played a terrifying game with Oculus Rift would do an adequate job of expressing how immersed one can get in the experience. There was no money involved in the making of this video. Paid advertisements are always labelled as such on our site.

Our site even gave Alien: Isolation a 6. No need for conspiracy theories here, man.

@filemaster4 The game doesn't officially have Oculus Rift support. It was a community-driven effort to make this feature available. Still, props to the A:I team for making a game that works so well with Oculus.

@JohnyMyko That separation is the unfortunate consequence of trying to capture stereoscopic 3D in two dimensions.

@Poison-tooth Peter was covering Gamescom and then took some time off to recover. I couldn't let the DK2 go unused in the meantime.

@dominoodle @jjaynecbsint I totally understand what you're saying. Those sillier elements just detract for me, personally, but I absolutely recognize that is my subjective opinion. And I still love TF2 in spite of it.

Thanks for the apology. I understand the rage that somebody insulting your favorite game can invoke ;)

@dominoodle Hey, Jeremy here:

I actually play TF2 actively (albeit, not as much as I used to), but I definitely feel like the community has changed quite a bit from launch because of the addition of cosmetic unlocks (i.e. hats.) It's still an amazing game in spite of that, but the difference in the player base's focus has been quite noticeable, in my opinion. My point was that maybe Toxikk has something in the "no frills" formula.

I also agreed with what you said about progression unlocks in the section where I mentioned Titanfall: it's a game with all of the popular ingredients that still bored me after week and has had dwindling player population.

@daviz88 I'm a video producer at GameSpot. I sit like 6 feet from Danny O'Dwyer, does that help my case?

@mamey2001 Glad you enjoyed it! We'll be putting out the 2nd part of this interview, which focuses primarily on the new DLC, at some point next week.

@Sushiglutton Your appreciation is appreciated! I fear this kind of content will be buried under Titanfall buzz, but these two are immensely talented and, as a huge fan of The Last of Us, creating this piece was a real labor of love.

@PayneKiller Glad you appreciated it. I do believe we'll make this a monthly feature henceforth.
