This is a non-story - Microsoft never even came close to implying that Rare Replay might come to Wii U, and the chances of it happening are zero percent anyway.

One major thing this article failed to touch on is the Completely Overkill Pack DLC that Overkill finally released in full with this most recent update. Back in March, Overkill did a major cash grab called the Hype Train event (which is what personally prompted me to quit the game for good). For this event, the community had to buy DLCs to fund free DLC, and one of those DLCs was this Completely Overkill pack - it cost twenty freaking dollars and was basically billed as a way to support Overkill (even though they're a company that is rolling in money and doesn't need a donation in kind). In exchange for this "support," COP purchasers were told they would get 4 glowing masks and 1 "mystery" item which took them until now (about 7 months) to release - that mystery item? A weapon skin! And the kicker? You can't pick which one you get - so you could get a skin for a gun you won't use! And even worse, skins in Payday 2 have qualities - low quality ones look beat up and worn down (like this - http://i.imgur.com/pBDQYZK.jpg). You would think they wouldn't be included in such a special reward, but they are. And that cost $20! Overkill truly is the worst.

@Gen007 @Baconelite On the other hand, it's easier to patch on PC since you don't have to go through MS/Sony, so perhaps your issues will be fixed a little earlier. But anyway, this is unacceptable. The game's getting close to the two month mark and should not be in such a state. The game was rushed out and EA, who once looked sort of good in comparison to Activision and CoD, now look just as bad, perhaps worse.

@JJames3dCG @jimbothef @naomha1 I don't know anything about making an MMO....but neither did Curt Schilling. Go look at all the screwups he made (http://www.bostonmagazine.com/2012/07/38-studios-end-game/). The company was horribly run, money was wasted in HUGE amounts, and for what? A game that never came close to getting published, and was facing an uphill battle anyway (WoW still owns the market). Curt isn't the only one to blame, but he deserves a lot of it. I'm all for someone pursuing their dream and creating jobs in the process, but Curt did it recklessly.

@naomha1 Nothing wrong with trying and failing usually, but not in the way Schilling did it. He mismanaged the whole situation and cost everyone involved (himself, the state, employees, etc.) a ton in terms of money as well as general distress. If he wanted to go chase his dream, he should have been a more realistic about his goals. Starting a studio from scratch and immediately attempting to develop an MMO was just insanely dumb and way too risky.

@JimmeyBurrows No, he's raising money to keep the bankers at bay, since he took out some loans personally to keep the company going.

@mlg273 Free? You paid for it when you got GTA V. Yeah, Rockstar claims it's a separate game, but it's GTA V's multiplayer.

@paxis85 Not really, Blizzard's one of the few devs with some integrity and autonomy as well. Not that they haven't lost some trust over the last few years (WoW mounts/pets for cash and stuff, or the D3RMAH, or overpriced Blizzcon stuff) but it's not too surprising that Blizzard would do it. Now, EA on the other hand, or an Activision dev with less independence than Blizzard.....

Yes, Blizzard took a lot of heat for the AH, but hey, at least give them credit for realizing their mistake and shutting it down, because it's a HUGE change. I thought that with the AH already up, it would never, ever go away. It'll be for the good of the game, so I'm glad it'll go.
