@thereal-15-cent @GunBladeHero and IGN is a joke.
@thereal-15-cent @GunBladeHero joystiq - 7. polygon - 7.
@mario1028 @jervo one more time: it's not the difficulty that's the problem, it's the crappy way the game punishes you for dying. i don't mind dying as long as the game was fair about it. but when you die here in the later levels, it's not always clear why, and when you realize that you just lost 30 minutes of hard-fought progress because of some cheap ghost hit, you will get frustrated. that's not "difficulty"; that's bad game design.
@mario1028 @jervo I've actually played the game, and I can personally vouch for her review. The game really is delightful and fun - at first - but by the end of the game the lack of checkpoints is so frustrating that you'll wonder why you wasted your time playing. I nearly broke my 3DS in half, to be honest.
@mario1028 It's not about the challenge - it's about the lack of mid-level checkpoints, which makes death very, very frustrating.
@BurtonPeet I think you're missing the point here - it's not that the game is too hard, but rather that there are no mid-level checkpoints, which makes death incredibly frustrating.
Excellent article; it would have been nice to see the professor's response to Half-Life 2's Alyx.
