@bluzima: i def don't "hate gaming so much." idk anyone at gamespot who "hates gaming so much." i can only speak for myself though, and this is news. what ms and the coalition are doing with microtransactions and how exploitative they are (my personal, subjective opinion), it's news. as a news writer, i'm here to inform, and myself and other editors saw this as valuable information to share. i hope you feel more informed knowing what's likely to come in gears 5.
@Barighm: lol thanks dude. i really appreciate that :) and yeah, bite the bullet looks sick. the trailer chugs a little; hopefully that’s not indicative of the performance at launch (especially since it’s got like half a year or something). but i’m stoked to see what it has in store regardless.
and yo, lemme know if you end up finding that game. i’ll try to whip together a story. the only game that description makes me think of is 198x: the game.
@sephirothswing: i know quantum break (which was a pretty fine game i enjoyed) and ori (another /damn fine/ game) don't have co-op, but i believe halo wars has co-op? maybe just online multiplayer? i've only played the first one and that was years ago, so my memory's foggy there.
@sephirothswing: hey man, thanks for the clarification. i can totally see how "xbox game studios" gives the impression that spencer's talking explicitly about first-party studios; however, i was taught to not assume (especially for the reader) when it isn't explicitly stated. capybara games (superbrothers: sword & sworcery, super time force ultra) isn't part of xgs, but below is an xbox one (and pc) exclusive. i'm just here to report the news. not to put words in spencer's mouth.
@Barighm: lol there are just some cool games that people are missing. while my job is to report on industry news, i also want you to know about the cool shit out there :)
@Mogan: same thought man. i didn't find it too surprising either, especially considering the strong single-player offerings from playstation. i figured xbox would wanna, at least, match its competitors' output and prove that single-player games aren't dead.
