@graffitiheart: How do you figure that? The Internet is littered with complaints about the bad servers, dodgy physics, bugs, and the corrupt moderating that means if you irritate one of the streamers they're relying on to promote the game by killing them, you get banned. 53% of recent Steam reviews are now mixed or negative.
Lots of concurrent players doesn't mean that there aren't lots of people who think the game is average. I played it for several hours with friends and none of us thought it was anything special. I last played it in July and don't feel inclined to play it again any time soon.
@Mogan: Most people agree with me regarding PUBG. It's marketed well so a lot of people bought it. Out of the people that bought it, a fraction of them are playing it regularly, and the majority of recent reviews are average or negative.
There are just a few fanatical fanboys who think that if I say the game is "good" I'm hating on it because I'm not saying "OMG this game is amazing".
@Mogan: Twitch is for watching games, not playing them. It currently has 1/10th of the viewers of League of Legends on Twitch too, and we all know how crap that game is.
@graffitiheart: "Stop getting so caught up on reviews" says the person getting caught up on sales numbers. Fact is, it only sold so many because they paid streamers to market it, and half of the people who have played it think it's average.
@sladakrobot: Yes, but that doesn't mean 13 million people think it's amazing. I'm one of the people that bought it and I think it's pretty unremarkable.
From Steam:
RECENT REVIEWS: Mixed (72,516) 48% of recent reviews are positive
@M8ingSeezun: Your estimate is about 10 years off. Enjoy Road Rash and Streets of Rage, and I'll stick with Mario Kart and Zelda like the rest of the people who aren't peasants.
