I think that this is an excellent example of why multiplayer games and MMOs are terrible. I relate as I hate both multiplayer games (with the exception of co-op games, either online or couch) and MMOs after being repeatedly burned by trying to get into the wider experience that various online multiplayer games offer. The reasons outlined in this article are exactly the reason that I don't play them.
I'll stick with single-player experiences. I'm too old to deal with everyone else's entitled brats nowadays.
I wasn't a fan initially. It grew on me. It doesn't FEEL the same as the movies or the books, but it's still good. Like playing War in the North or Shadow of Mordor. It's the same IP, but they feel very different than the source material. Still loved the series and I will continue to watch it all the way through.
With that said - give me some damned open-world LoTR games in the vain of Skyrim.
I like Renner, and it really does suck that this happened to him, but at least it happened to someone who can afford what it is going to take to keep him alive after that mess. It's a miracle that he's alive.
Wow. That podcast was one of the most difficult interviews that I've ever had to watch. I don't know if the interviewer was just nervous or can't put thoughts into words, or what, but it was painful. I had to skip over a lot of it just to get to Todd's answers. That was rough.
How about addressing another annoyance with this series - voicing your characters and making the Pokemon sound like actual creatures instead of their 1990s GameBoy counterparts?
I'll deal with the bugs. Bring your game up to current standards, Nintendo, so that it can be less boring to slog through.
Yeah, let's ruin another game-to-TV adaptation. While we're at it, why not just have the original voice actor do it instead? Can't wait to see what it would look like after they are cursed to wear the ashes of their murdered families for all eternity.
