Most of the zombie survival games I've seen and played had nothing to do with surviving, considering you can endlessly spawn and try again if you fail. If only real life were like that. We need game designers who can break this mold and give us a real apocalyptic survival game where decisions and accountability really matter.

Game designers are so scared to include permadeath, that every apocalyptic game on the market seems the same. If death has no meaning, then what's the purpose of attempting to survive? Play, die, try again... BORING!

Game companies have to stop making PC games that cater only to the vanilla ice-cream eaters (those who don't like change or willing to try something new). The PC has so much to offer in terms of options that it's a wonder game designers don't take advantage of it.

Space Hulk is a great boardgame that would certainly rock on the PC if the right game designer came along (multiplayer, co-op, able to switch from a 3rd person perspective to first person (it's been done in older game ie. Spellforce...)

Converting a boardgame to the PC so that the PC version is the same as the boardgame with nothing much new added, is a poor choice IMO.

Is there permadeath in this game or is this another endless spawning type zombie game where death has no meaning?

I guess this will please those who enjoy playing by themselves more than for those who enjoy playing co-op. It would have been nice to be able to play this game as a FPS or from a bird's eye view in a co-op fashion with the computer playing the Terminators that are not player controlled, against the Genestealer AI.

The reason I don't like consoles (I still have the original Xbox and Game Cube) is because when a new console comes out your previous games (which cost upwards of $50) are no longer playable (except for the Game Cube games). People with money or students who complain about the cost of education but always seem to have the funds for computer games and consoles don't mind this setback, but at least with a computer I can use my computer for other things than simply playing computer games (eg. Vassal). Also the idea of paying to play or any other type of montly fee turns me off.

Hope the Aliens can aim and hit with their weapons just as good as the humans.
