Marriage is a personal thing that should be kept away from state, city, or Federal law. Gay's can create abiding contracts for marriage already. Marijuana should be legal for reasons more than I could put into an entire page. I think eventually a legal approach will happen abroad.

Maybe it's just me, but I doubt that the citizens of a once divided nation would celebrate the time that they were divided.

However, we'll probably end up within another civil war very shortly with the way this country is going.

We are just as divided today because we lack the simple importance of the word "freedom". This country is getting more and more unfree year after year. The reason #2 civil war will most certainly happen is because we are on the trail of no return. The debt is actually higher than what can actually be paid.

Oh, I agree with you are far as OT goes. I used the word "young" for a reason. A lot of the members are very young and or students. The educational insitutions show a great lack of critical thinking skills. Little details of importance of United States history is actually presented anymore that was taught not so long ago.

By "modern" I am reffering to a state of mind. So many folks today see things a new and modern while things "old" are considered outdated and "untrue". I simply think this is a ignorant and completely foolish notion. Truth and wisdom does not belong to one generation or another it belongs to all times. Just because we have computers and iphones and more advanced communication systems shows we are somehow "different" from those before us. History repeats itself and it will again time after time.

It's not an argument. Look around the USA and see whats actually happening. You will be amazed to find that there are huge numbers of people who are ready to take up arms and stop tyranny across the nation if the time calls for it. This entire country is divided, we will be fighting amongst ourselves. 

Nope I don't participate in any such thing. I prefer just thinking about it to reenacting it.
