This is by far one of the most well-written review I have ever read. If the game is as good as you have presented, then this review has done it justice.

Kudos.

Excellent review as always, Carolyn. Also, we share the exact same opinion on games.

I was no more than 2 hours into the game and a thought popped-up in my head: wait... haven't I done this already?

@danvar249 They'll probably play a montage of all the stupid things MS did over the course of this "not a sprint" and everybody will wear a troll face mask.

No, Phil, you guys didn't adapt to customer feedback. They were complaining about the policies even before E3.

You adapted to the competition. There is a big difference in that.

But then again, that's what a businessman is supposed to say so I don't blame him. I just pity those who agrees with him. I am just glad stupidity is not contagious cause that is proof why a zombie apocalypse will never happen, Brad.

He's so right!

There is no need to compare, cause there really isn't anything to compare!

The discussion is meaningless!

I pre-ordered a PS4. My wallet has voted.

There really wasn't any meaningful discussion.

Just want to add something, Carolyn. Shuhei also said that not ALL online games will require the PS+ subscription in order to play multiplayer online. Games that are free-to-play for instance will NOT require a PS+ subscription to play online. There are also a couple more instances that the PS+ subscription will not be required that he mentioned in the same article, but I cannot recall at the moment.

@penpusher You're right. That's why I don't own or drive cars. I never supported capitalism. I support Sony because they listen to me, personally. They reply to ALL of my complains and feedback (either via e-mail or calls). Microsoft? I'd be lucky to hear a non-recorded human voice. But that's not the point. The point is MS did what they did because they thought they can, and when they found out they can't, they went 180. Supporting that is the same asking them to take advantage of you because they can, or at least until you tell them they can't. If that doesn't compute with your logic, then there's probably something wrong somewhere.

@Andyf1ghter Wow, an incredible stupid reply! Where in my comment did I say that those were the reasons to buy a console? Here's an advice: if you're stupid, don't pretend you're smart. And don't call other people stupid. It only makes you sound stupid, stupid.

@Hoaph I would have agreed with you on Microsoft admitting that they made a mistake had Don Mattrick not come out and said all those things last week.

All the more reasons why you should not get the XBox One.

1. It is now proven that the policies has nothing to do with technical limitations and/or publisher relation/pressure, but simply concocted by some greedy spineless corporate weasel trying to squeeze all the money out of you.

2. A 'boss' who can come out and defend his companies policies publicly throughout the week, and then retract everything he stood up for is not someone, or a company that you can trust, because if they can retract them so easily today, they can re-enforce them as easily tomorrow.

3. It's all about respect. First, Microsoft disrespected its fan base by introducing these policies. Then Microsoft disrespected the entire military. Now they have disrespected themselves by going back on their own policies that they have so strongly defended. I would have respected them more if they had followed through with it. So now they have proven themselves to be some tree swinging corporate weasel.

So like I said, even with these policies retracted, one should not support a company that can so easily implement something, take them away, and offended half the world in the process. It's just not smart business. Remember all the things that Don Mattrick said amidst all the complains, and now he's saying that he listened. Too late, too arrogant, too disrespectful. Those who will buy the XBox One now because of these change in policies are only encouraging a company to be stupid and arrogant, and think that they (the company) can just make it go away when they start to lose sales.
