what's sad is that the majority of his fans agree eat me drink me is his worst album. and that's the album where he tones it down on the shock elements.
Tones it down on the shock elements and overall quality. Shock and quality not related though, just unhappy coincidence.

Gotta ask, why the makeup then?He hides behind it....and it's quit common in music. Doesn't mean the band is about theatrics in and of itself. I was basing my comment about Manson on his stage show...not his hideous fashion. Fair enough, my original post only focused on the albums though, I'm not familiar with his shows.

lots of bands wear make up but still put on a good show. does this imply Kiss is more about theatrics?
if you want bands that rely too much on theatrics, look up lordi and rammstein.
:lol: As a matter of fact yes, I do think that KISS is all about the theatrics. I hate their music tough. Not so much with The Cure. I love The Cure.

Everyone knows Daft Punk but they haven't released a good album in quite a few years, while newcomers Justice are just becoming more and more popular. Is Justice going to take the mantle of best french house/electronica duo act? Maybe a collaboration between the two, that could (would) be awesome...
That's exactly what I meant when I said that "if anything, I think that his image negatively clouds people's judgement of his music". Yes he looks like a freak, but the music... There's quality to it.
