I chose SNES. I thought it was going to be an easy decision with the SNES, but I thought a lot about PSX and DC. I had a lot of fun playing both of those systems growing up. So much time spent playing Phantasy Star Online or NFL 2K1. But the PSX had Resident Evil, Final Fantasy VII and tons of other role-playing games that I loved. But I settled on SNES because two of my favorite games of all time are on it - Harvest Moon and Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. Plus tons of other great games that consumed my childhood.

I'm not surprised. They always seem to do their own thing and seem to do a lot of announcing as they go instead of waiting for big moments to announce something. So in that sense, there's not much incentive to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to appear at E3 and have nothing to show.

I play on any system I can, but generally prefer consoles over PC gaming. That said, PC absolutely offers the best online experience. Better connections, more options, more variety of online compatible games, etc.

@GameSpot: I play at home primarily. I have a 3DS, but rarely remember to bring it with me. Usually if I do, my son wants to play it so I end up sitting there, twiddling my thumbs.

Kids do a lot of weird things or don't have a full understanding of their actions. Especially if it doesn't necessarily involve them. He probably knows if he falls, he gets hurt. But the dog might not. Or maybe he saw a cat jump from a tall area and land just fine and figured his dog could do the same. It can be any number of things as to why he did it.

If he was punished and cried for the dog, I doubt he's on his way to being any sort of serial killer. It's good he was punished and showed sympathy for what he did.

Why should I, or any of us, give a shit about the personal political views of celebrities?

You shouldn't. But they're in the public eye and have a public voice seen and heard by a lot of people. It can potentially influence others. It's fine to have a viewpoint, but if it's uneducated and misguided, that can be very bad.

Obviously it's not as pretty as it was then, but I'd still consider it the best Resident Evil game. Or maybe slightly behind the remake of the original, which was awesome. But like others stated, the controls weren't exactly stellar. Granted, that's never been a strong point in RE games.

I thought this was a newer topic, apparently not. Anyway, wearing a suit is a bit overkill, I think. Nice slacks and a buttoned shirt would look nice and professional. But if you insist on the suit route, make sure you get one that is stylish and actually fitted to you. Suits look a million times better when tailored to your body as opposed to just off the shelf.

Mostly comes down to the games.  Secondary to that is probably price.  Though the pricing issue is becoming a bit more prominent as more and more games go multi-platform.  There are some things that turn me off on a console.  I absolutely love my 360, but I most likely won't pick up an Xbox One until there is a significant price drop.  That's mainly because I feel the integrated Kinect boosts the price up quite a bit and I have absolutely no interest in Kinect. But once that price is down (or if they end up deciding on a Kinect-free edition), I will happily pick one up.

[QUOTE="Maddie_Larkin"]

considering how popular esports are becomming I doubt they are hated. I do think they chose the wrong name for that kind of entertainment.

Yeah, they are becoming more popular by the month. Some of the games played are ridiculous but some of them are legit and fun to watch. The hate usually comes from people that are jealous I think.

I have to agree about the jealousy aspect.  Not saying everyone who dislikes competitive gaming is jealous, but there is definitely a fair amount of people who are.  I would assume it's because someone is getting paid to play a game they enjoy, but simply aren't good enough at to do so professionally.  I can see where jealousy would come into play.  I admit to being mildly jealous.  I would love to get paid to deal with video games in almost any aspect, whether from a developing end or playing end.
