I play all my games from a 7200rpm Momentus without issue... Maybe your PS3 is getting ready to YLOD?

I'm finally forcing myself to play through RE6 for the story's sake, and I'm surprised it's actually a decent story. But my god the QTE's. I've finished 2 of the 4 campaigns and every single death (at least 20) was by QTE.

It was the exact same thing with Tomb Raider and GOW: Ascension this year - me dying a dozen times during some stupid chase scene or some bridge collapsing, etc - there's never any skill involved, just guesswork and timing. Even the final bosses in RE6 are just straight up QTE's.

Have developers given up at making games truly challening? Does anyone actually LIKE this?

I hope all the reviews give it 7s and 8s now to spite 2K and IGN. That would be funny

Stopped reading reviews a long time ago, so no disappointment here. Basically a hyped up game is guaranteed over 80% as long as it's not completely broken (Sim City). None of it even matters, most publishers make their money from fools who preorder based on said hype and name recognition. Case in point: Sim City broke records for the series

Not sure if your problem is the games costing full price on PSN or the exchange rate... But yes publishers are being greedy with the prices they set. If you look at this chart a $60 game should cost no more than $40 when it's all digital: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/entertainmentnewsbuzz/2010/02/anatomy-of-a-60-dollar-video-game.html

Thanks for all the input. It does sound a little lacking, just glad there's no friend codes. Also I find it funny you can only send messages to friends. I assume Nintendo thinks it will protect kids, but anyone who's played on Live will tell it's the kids that harass everyone else :P

Interested in things like - are there still friend codes, is there a universal ID, can you add friends during a game, cross chat, etc. Thanks

Anyone else hoping this is true? I'd love for it to be just Sony catering to the hardcore after next gen, let MS and Nintendo fight over the kids and grandmas.
