definitely isn't optimized for PC. playing medium on brand new i9/3080 hardware and it dips below 60fps. i got bored with it and quickly gave it to my 8 year old to play. she says it's not even worth her time. SHE'S GONNA lead NASA one day. (SHE'S THE SMARTEST PERSON ALIVE!) reviewer hit it right on the head. if you want to play a sub-par game, get this right away. if you want to use your money for something a bit worth your while? purchase crew 2 or dragon quest inquisition. BOTH MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE. source: i've been playing video games longer than most of you were even alive. if you had any thought, i've already analyzed it numerous of times, and have concluded such trivial pursuits using science.

not sure how cuphead can be great while GNG gets piled. this is an incredible game for those who find success through dying. if you want a walking sim there are so many to pick from stanley parable and edith finch. if you want a forgiving adventure throw a dart at any direction. this is GNG. is it not charming enough?!? that being said, i understand the score. while i purchased this game for the snes, my friends bought aladdin and batman returns instead. they are now working for goldman sachs as i lay here dying. long live capcom.

i still remember getting chills seeing the beginning fmv intro.. the sound effects, falling into the world and just enamored by the prerendered areas. (little did i know myst 4: revelation would perfect this artform 10 years later.) soundblaster pro never sounded so good in 1993/94. played on a 486dx2 when moore's law made sense. ended up leaning toward sierra/lucasarts games, but as far as i'm concerned the miller bros. are, and still, geniuses. the sequel, RIVEN, is their pinkerton album. just knocked it out of the park and not once held the player's hand. truly an experience i never felt with any other series. i think the medium they used, an interactive slide show, fit perfectly with the puzzles. you were able to sit back and draw out your own ideas and maps. you could get up, make a cup of coffee, and sit back down without worrying if an enemy knocked your head off. not to bash shooters! i'll have to try this in VR, but my own nostalgia might be too strong. i'm afraid i'm turning into the ol' "the original is always better than the remake" snob. :D thanks for the review!!

though i love options it is confusing to pick which one to get. will you be missing out on tons with the S series or is it perfect for people like me who only have a 1080p television anyway and content with that resolution? or will the X series bring so much more that even with an "outdated" television, it's worth getting? i'm waiting to see what happens and sticking with my sega cd until i see a good enough leap in tech.

@thelostscribe: you're absolutely correct. the dreamcast version especially for tony hawk 2 is impeccable. bright color palette with smooth frames. hopefully this version will be the new "best" :D
