Gotta love the people lurking in the Bug Reporting forum just to troll people.

I'm gone. I can't take Gamespot anymore. The "stacks" is really what set me off:

1. I don't know how long ago the botched site redesign was at this point, but like half my "Games I Own" stack is still in Japanese. I've mentioned this multiple times and it's never been even replied to.

2. Interface takes forever to do anything with.

3. That is... assuming it actually DOES what you want in the first place.

There are a myriad of other GS issues going into kissing this place goodbye, but I'm not going to get into all of it. Helllooooooo IGN!

No, you won't. This place is devoid of informed input from people behind the scenes.

I get that the people who review games don't code for the site. Honestly, I do. This isn't about what the editors are doing with their time, it's about the people in charge who can't seem to figure out what this site DOES need.

GameSpot apparently thinks a Team Fortress 2 review almost 7 years after its release is a bigger need for the site than fixing the stacks.

I feel this is a sign of misplaced priorities. I know Chris probably doesn't do coding for site development, but you've gotta understand how ridiculous this looks as the site struggles to merely function and they're reviewing games older than some of our cars.

Sorry, wrong board.

You seem to be looking for a board where you talk to GS and they talk back about problems with the site. It's okay, I've made the same mistake.

This is more like a beach, where you put a message in a bottle and set it into the ocean, and maybe someone reads it someday, but the odds are by the time anyone that can help you does, you'll be dead.

I wonder if GameSpot will think twice before they start throwing stones at the next game that comes out with a bunch of bugs in it after their own huge embarrassing failure at launching some sort of software.

Wait... no, I'm not wondering. They'll throw the stones anyway, because if they didn't it would acknowledge in some way that there ARE bugs in their system. Which they don't seem able to do.

With all the problems GameSpot has had with the new site layout... I don't think this site has any credibility to complain next time a game like SimCity comes out full of bugs.

You don't get to complain about mishandling a software launch when you bungle your own THIS BADLY.

Site-wide bug...

... I kinda feel stupid for not guessing that immediately.

@pnneilson: But didn't like... ONE person at GameSpot actually try it before they just dropped it on us?

"Hey, like half of the entries in my "owned games" stack are in Japanese all of a sudden."

I assume that wasn't the goal, right? I have to assume because I never hear back from anyone at GS about problems with the stacks.

@GeminiEntity: I'm amazed you're even hearing replies from staff that the site "will get better". I tried to get an update on stacks and heard NOTHING. Maybe GS staff has just given up?
