So here's the fundamental problem with this. You are your own worst enemy and are actively contributing to Bethesda taking the franchise in the opposite direction of what you want.

Just mentioning all of this so those who think no one out there would be willing to pay for this - wrong. I would. And there ARE others like me who never wanted a multiplayer Fallout. Who never wanted the ability to grief others. Who never wanted anything but to be The Lone Wanderer once more...

Yet despite not wanting a multiplayer fallout game you have not only paid for a mutliplayer fallout game but are willing to pay $100 extra in said game just to get the experience you should have gotten in the first place. They blatantly couldn't give less of a shit about people who wanted a single player experience to the point that they'll only let you have something close to what you want after shelling out even more money on top of what you've already paid. Why would any corporation EVER care about giving you the experience you want when you prove that you'll still pay through the nose when they do the exact opposite? If you want a single player fallout then stop fucking giving them money.

Wow that is just... incredible. Charge $60 for a game that nobody would bat an eye at if it was found in Steam's early access page and then roll out a subscription service with basic QOL features held behind the paywall in said shitty ass game.

@marios_geo: There is no point to applying a x of ten system if you never use the bottom 5-6 numbers. Context matters, AAA games should be held a higher standards and if they shit they bed they should get scored accordingly.

Really hate the way Ubisoft has been going. Cramming RPG mechanics into franchise where it doesn't fit to encourage grinding in lieu of actually gameplay improvements. The games aren't terrible per se just entirely mediocre with nothing that hasn't been done over and over again for the last decade, often by previous ubisoft games.

Well that is genuinely disappointing as the first one had a fairly unique and solid MP that added a lot of value to the product. That said I can understand wanting to focus all efforts on what the game does best especially given how multiplayer games have come to dominate the market.

@lionheartssj1: Proving my point further. Supply chain is a military target and the Tarlys were given a chance to yield. While none of these things can be considered "good" they also aren't just pointless acts of cruelty like what we saw at the end. She's not a "moral paragon" because that kind of character cannot exist in the world of the show. If were just gonna judge everyone from a modern perspective then by that logic everyone is a terrible person on their way to becoming ruthless psychopaths.

Most righteous character in the show Ned Stark is introduced by beheading a terrified Nights Watch deserter. Is that action ok by today's standards? Absolutely not, but within the world they set up it is justified. Arya kills people, carves them up and serves them to their father before poisoning and entire house full of people, many of which are probably not inherently evil. Sansa feeds a helpless POW to his own fucking dogs to be eaten alive in an act of personal revenge. John hangs a little boy because he was part of the coup that betrayed him. Tyrion ironically burned a shit load of people alive back in season 2 all in the name of protecting himself and his family who are the villains of the show. Yet we don't hate these characters because we understand the context behind the action.

When you turn a character who has committed acts of violence for the sake of bring about change to evil institutions to a unrepentant monster who kills thousands of innocent people for no discernible gain to herself within the time frame of a few episodes with maybe one act of unneeded violence, THAT is shitty writing.

@kevinicus: Yes it was predictable but the execution was godawful which is why it's hated. They literally ran out of time and her destroy a city full of innocent for no gain to herself so they could stumble across the series finish line within 6 episodes.

@lionheartssj1: Sigh. Theres a huge difference between killing evil people to accomplish a goal, which in the case of previous seasons is LITERALLY ENDING THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF SLAVERY, and torching an entire city full of civilians and an army that has surrendered completely. She did NOT need to do what she did which is why its deservedly shit on by anyone who cares about good writing. Such a terrible justification for the awful writing. If Arya randomly killed off an orphanage cause she felt like it, would it make sense to go "well she's killed lots of people before so the signs were all there!!!"

"Kit Harington, meanwhile, said at the Emmys that he hasn't seen any of Season 8."

Probably for the best.
