PC gaming is NOT dying, ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Forgive me for saying everything on my mind but I feel like I have to. Been gaming on the very first intel based PC's since msdos and on older computers before that. I guess i was lucky to have a mom and pop PC store custom built me PC's and supplied parts. i never bought overly expensive parts, just did research to get the right parts at the lowest possible prices. i really enjoy the PC and its keyboard/mouse interface over any other video gaming forms known to man.ALTHOUGH I RESPECT THE CONSOLES, i do not like gaming on them, i tried consoling with friends but it never felt right. PC games are deep and thought provoking, rich worlds that inspire me with ALOT TO DO. console games run and jump and press the button in the right order, what kind of gaming is that? One thing today i don't understand is the rockband/dj hero games, how are these boring games fun? first time i popped into a game store and picked a instrument control up, i quickly put it down. music is more fun in its pure form, not in these boring games. an ipod would definitely be better. slightly detour the subject, i used to be a fanatic football fan but a wonderful baseball game totally converted me, earl weaver baseball. graphics were good enough and those stats made me drool. electronic arts back in the day was genius when they designed a baseball game 'once' andprovided a stats disk each season. why they and the industry changed to programming a slightly different game now year after year is beyond me. baseball/football/hockey 04,05,06...what gives???? they just asking for waste of money that's all. my favorite genre of PC game is the RPG,roleplaying, character developing type of game. Nowadays, the line between these are so blurred that you can't tell exactly if it's a rpg or roleplaying anyways much. when you create a group of heros, you gain an attachment to these characters because you nuture their growth till that last battle. when i played the PC game of this type, again, there was lots of deep customization. console rpg'ers never gave me that feel and i checked out alot of them, even japanese ones. now graphics are also best on the PC and that's not just my opinion. console 1080p...???? PC's had 1600x1200 gaming since who knows and now look at ati eyefinity at 5760x2400 and higher.

i'm tired talking now, this is my rant.

IF anybody else out there wants the retailers to stock PC games, do yourself a favor and join me in pushing the developers, publishers, programmers, designers, game houses, and WHATEVER out there that WE WANT PC games for sale.

i will contiune supporting them by buying PC games and contiune upgrading my pc as opposed to buying a new console over time. remember the key is to RESEARCH... do not waste money buying just anything out there.

thanks

ea is only one of the companies but i didn't mean to put only them on the spot.

they do have some redeeming games. but their treatment with some leads to questioning.

maybe make a trip to ea offices ...haha

i for one like to play rpg's, tweak the characters till i can tweak them no more. better armour, weapons, powers

better than platform jump games like consoles.

baseball with stats overflow, oblivion explore huge game maps, old infocom text games using ur imagination, war games with super detail strategy, space sims hugh battles, could go on and on.

can't blame em but do they have to make pc games so hard to find?

back then, u could buy pc, mac, xbox, nintendo, playstation everywhere

now pc is practically mail order.

the alienation of the pc has gotten me so mad i want to complain to electronic arts, activision, lucas arts, and other game publishers if you know what i mean.

before ea was easy to contact by phone now you can't reach them and they email back form letters.

don't they read anymore what people have to say?

who said rpg were dead? poof?

wow you must have a huge game collection.

to me, pc games are deep and draw you in...

no console game ever did that for me.

any real computer only gamers out there?

i'm sure there are...

i think pc and mac gamers should join forces...

show the force so we don't lose our investment.
