When creating something you see every flaw, rather than every thing it does right. If you're too heavy a critic of your own work, it can consume you and give you a very bleak outlook... there needs to be a balance point where you look past it's flaws and see it for the final product it is and how people receive it. Oft times, most people never see those flaws you do and you end up learning that they mean so little in the big picture of things. It's a weird dynamic. But many artists go down the same road every time they craft something.

I'm just glad that bioware can step forward and give people the choice to play how they want, including the romance options for their characters. With games as deep in character development as bioware's, it seems ridiculous to allow someone to invest their heart and soul into building their character to reflect themselves and following that same character through his/her ups and downs only to turn and then deny them the right to choose how that character handles situations of the heart, regardless of gender. If you're a gamer who is dead set against that kind of thing, then play your way, make the outcome of your game what you want, but don't hate on others or the game for not sharing your narrow view.

Interesting look at things, at least. They point out a few valid points of how Nintendo works and has done well thus far, but I wouldn't count them out just yet. It's not a story I see ending in the near future... less of course we all die in 2012... in which case all the companies are toast, right? ;)

I'm playing the title on my PC and loving it. That said, I hope the game really does get ported to the PS3 and 360. While some will complain that the power needed won't be there, I believe that each system will do the game well enough so that gamers can really appreciate how great the title is, even if they don't have beefed up gaming PCs.

If I went into a store and dropped full price for every game, i'd be dropping a minimum of $120+ bones on a single trip (I generally buy at least 2 games per shopping). That's redonkyulous. The fact that I can go into an ebgames and grab 3 game for like $30 makes much more sense.

I agree with a lot of the comments... but not the one continually iterated over the entire article that "female gamers need female games". The article even tries to say the opposite of this and yet keeps going back to it. Both male and female gamers like differing kinds of games for different reasons. Not every person playing farmville is a 43yo mother. Not everyone playing Dragon Age is a 19 year old single male. When a game is built with heart and the core story is genuine, then most other things fall in line (look at the Uncharted series). If you go out, looking to create a game for a group of people, it usually just blows up in your face, because you A) Don't actually know what you think you know about this particular group or B) It's obvious and lame and regardless of group, they'll not buy your bad game.
