Actually, believe it or not, that's what they were shooting for. The games they most often mentioned looking at were Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. That may seem silly, or even stupid to you, but that's what they did. Some people actually got a big kick out of the throwback style (though, if they do it a second time, I don't see as many people diggin' it).

As for commercial acclaim, it seems like (we still have to wait for the NPD) it's doing very well, by third-party Wii standards, at least. And critical acclaim, true, it's not as unanimously praised as other FPS games, but few Wii games are really.

I would say I'm in the same boat. It seems everyone always picks the same stages when online, so I get a little lost when it comes to a "different" stage pops up.

I'm also learning all of the weapons, I hate using the Rocket Launcher though. I'm just not very accurate at the moment, hopefully I get better.

Going from that game to this platform is awesome...I'm lucky to have not been jaded by the xbox or playsattion consoles yet...

And no, I'm not saying that the wii is better, I'm just saying I'm not used to these recent shooters, and that is great...seriously, my gaming went from nes---to 64---to wii...so you can understand why I am so excited about these new games...

After getting to level eight, I am thouroughly enjoying this game!!..

Bought the game at Wal Mart yesterday morning, and I love the game. It's all about fun, and there's just something special using WiiMote to control the Strike Rifle to kill an enemy. It's very satisfying. Coming from a guy who plays a lot of COD4 on the 360 with his friends, this game is awesome. Go pick it up if you have any interest in a shooter game. You'll be happy. Just tweek the control settings to your style and you'll be amazed. yeahyeahbigN
