first fable did massive damage to the rpg gengre ... it replaced a crafted and designed gameworld and a actual story/quest structure with a centralised plot and quest.hub like it was only knowen from the most shallow mmos at this time ... the original fable concept was that about being a part of a growing world that develops around and with you, molyneux bought that concept from the two original creators and made this mainstream button masher sin with rpg disguise out of it ... later iterations build up on this mainstream base introducing elements he stole from the sims and other rpg franchises ...
