Except it isn't illegal at all, federally convicted prisoners can't own guns or vote, two major rights, even after they are released. If those can be taken away, then gaming isn't going to be all that protected. Jail is just one part of a sentence, sometimes committing a crime follows you for the rest of your life.
I get the point your making, but the sex offender list does extend to their personal life. It is designed to limit where they can live (or atleast tell everyone they moved there) and where they can hang out. Example, sex offenders aren't to live/work near schools. So, to extend that to the online world, they can't play online where kids are. The civil liberties of sex offenders are pretty insignificant compared to the civil liberties of their victims/potiential victims.
If some else says it (as in not the CEO of the company) I might by it. However, even if it is true, how does being "technically" better help? So your game is crammed full of data, what does it do? The thing is, matter how "crammed" your game is, it is the subjective things that people want.
Maybe, but considering that G.Washington was actually given the choice to be "King" of America, it is a pretty realistic alternate universe. Not the craziest thing ever done, plot wise.
