Even if this is true, it's not a very bad thing. The main reason for the canning is that Grigorovich, CEO of the company wasn't happy with the direction of the game. He knew the game was going to turn in to crap or a disappointment at best. ( Just as many fans predicted it after it was announced for consoles. ) The series will end in its peak and that's the best thing that can happen to a beloved franchise IMO. Also I'm still not sure if the game is permanently cancelled or even cancelled at all. There was a tweet from GSC that called this news false. But it was deleted which still puts me in doubt.
Thanks for sharing. It's really good to hear that this game has 25000 lines of dialogues. It shows they were serious about telling Risen 2 is the most expensive project by Piranha Bytes to this date.
