@Jacanuk: I'm well aware. Just a small brain fart.

I've played through the story in Mafia 3 and didn't encounter any bad glitches. Granted I played on PS4. Maybe they're more frequent on PC? RockStar is well-respected company but released Batman-games on PC riddled with bugs. I have nothing against 2K and encountered no major technical difficulties in Mafia 3.

I play both. I don't really consider their status Indie vs. AAA when I play. I play the games I might find interesting when I see them in the online stores or pick up from a retailer. And frankly I find the Indie vs. AAA misleading and confusing. What is considered AAA and what is Indie? I can go on a huge rant about this question alone but I won't bother. I just want to re-itereate that I play whatever I may fancy and whether they're called indie or AAA means diddly-squat.

I think announcing games too soon can be hard for developers. As soon as it happens people are demanding video, screenshots, demos etc. If they're not at that stage in development yet it's better just to keep quiet. If that means lying to people on twitter it's probably still the best solution. And just announcing a game 3 years before it's released will probably start the hype-train going. And by the time the game is finally released it's probably a much worse game than it was hyped up to be.

@Coco_pierrot: I found a pretty interesting post on reddit about No Man's Sky. Someone went through point by point what everybody was hyped about the game. Most everything people were hyped about was because of preview graphics/animation and what Murray "promised" in various interviews.

But personally I don't know why people put so much faith in this game and prordered it. It was a brand new IP by mostly unknown developers. I would have wited for the first reviews to make a final decision.

That is a tough question. I love replaying games and I've played many games throughout many years. I don't count my replay times, but I would guess it would have to be "Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of time". I played that a few times when I got it for N64, then I think I played the "Master Quest" version a couple of times when I got it with Wind Waker for GameCube and I have it on 3DS too.

If you're thinking "important" as in important for gaming history I can't understand why you have sequels or other games based on the same type of games. Wolfenstein 3D should be on that list. It was the first FPS from IdSoftware and it laid the foundation for the FPS-genre for years to come. Having Monkey Island 2 on that list makes no sense. Maniac Mansion was the first "point-and -click" adventure game and the SCUMM-engine used by all other adventure-games by LucasArts was made for that game.

@Macutchi: Until Dawn is fun to replay. There's plenty of choices to make that will have an impact on the story and eventually the endings. Just minor details can change everything.

And what do you call games like Dishonored or Bioshock? In Dishonored you can fight with swords, but also guns. Bioshock has the various powers from Plasmids. Or what about Mirror's Edge? FPS was an easy to understand label a few years back with games like Wolfenstein 3D. We've had many variations since. I think FPS can just mean any action-game from the First-person perspective.

@mark1974: I usually buy them if there's some new missions or levels to play in SP. I liked the thing they did with GTAIV. I don't bother if there just some new weapons or vehicles. It has to be something worthwhile like extra missions. I haven't gotten around to getting any of the DLC for Just Cause 3 yet. but I do plan on getting them sometime.
