I found the cut scene audio and video to be totally out of sync and am not going to play it because that is so annoying. Specs: Intel(R) Core(TM i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), 4GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro FX 580, Windows 7 32-bit

Congratulations on your growing family! I am like you in that I like to be able to play in short bursts. You can definitely get enjoyment in installments with Borderlands. It has checkpoints that it saves automatically, so you can easily exit at any time and restart (though I often just pause the game since we have multiple computers in the house and/or you can minimize it). I enjoyed Borderlands (I just finished). I particularly like how easy it was to pick up side quests and just work on whatever was most fun at the time. In other games, I often found the side quests to be a bit of a burden. I liked L4D 2 as well, but from a value for money perspective, I preferred Borderlands. I find L4D 2 to be a bit repetitive. I am more of a single-player person, so I know that a lot of people find L4D 2 to be great in multi-player. I found Borderlands to have a richer environment with tons of weapons and a pretty easy inventory management capability. Another nice feature is that you can earn inventory slots and buy ammo slots, so you do not have to spend so much time trading off what loot you are going to collect. I finished L4D2 in hours and I spent days (in short bursts) on Borderlands. Have fun!

Thank you for your service! Have you played the downloadable content for Fallout 3? Another great game is Dead Space - not sure if you like the genre, but it is very good and different. I also like Crysis and follow-ons. Prototype was at times frustrating, but overall a very good game. The Warhammer 40,000 series is also very good. Peace.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare was a great game. You feel like you are in Iraq. I would recommend buying it, because the content is worth it.

It looks really good. Some of it had a Mass Effect feel. I will wait for the review and demo, though. Trailers can make things look better than they are,at times.

Yes, I have had issues with V.A.T.S. Sometimes, it takes a while for Fallout 3 to recognize a target (e.g. head). The worst problem I have with Fallout 3 is that I need to shut down my security suite to play downloadable content.
