[QUOTE="Espada12"]

[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] what bad design would that be?WilliamRLBaker

Rewarding camping alone. It doesn't reward the run and gun playstyle and some of the maps aren't made very well. For instance, if you play domination in falvela?.. w/e the name of the brazil stage is.. the middle flag is in a very stupid area of the map.

yet again as I've said to others camping is a legitimate tactic if you cannot deal with it don't run into the same place you just got killed at that's for any game, campers are easy to take out if you are good, know a guy is camping? pop a nade or semtex in there dead camper. The flags are set pretty well it would seem its a cross roads in the middle you have to be good to get that flag away from the enemy and have a good team, and like any game with flag capture or area capture your going to get people that camp it, capture and camp...yet again if your team is good and so are you then you will win. the only thing wrong with the game is respawn and there are quite a few games that have respawn problems and cod4 had respawn problems.

He already decided he hates it, talking about tactics won't change his mind. They already pwned him, he's too mentally injured to go on and try again.

Are you freakin' kidding me? After all that talk about everything being preferences, you pull this nonsense? Hell, you can think whatever the hell you want to think. Wii's got a healthy bunch of nice games. If you don't want to play them, it's your loss.roxlimn
I have always said its about preferences, MY preference is to now waste money on pointless Wii games. I didn't say that Wii has no fun games besides those, Its my choice to like and dislike whatever.

[QUOTE="heath005"][QUOTE="roxlimn"]A fair number of old folks play regularly on their Wii - as much as their health allows them to do. They're real gamers, too, you know. They just have different preferences, and weren't you all about that? All the games I've seen for it so far seem to be missing the mark, but as the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I can't say whether I'll buy it or not until I've given it a spin around the block.italygamer
Wii is video games for little kids/ people over 40. And nintendo fanboys. There are the people like me who get it for the few good games like brawl and zelda and not all but some mario games. and metroid.

actually there are more than just some few games http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0AriQpIFbPoEacGM1b0xxcGVucFQ3OFc4N3BNZmd2QkE&gid=3

Oh ok. I don't play game just for the score

[QUOTE="roxlimn"][QUOTE="heath005"][QUOTE="roxlimn"]More fun? Hm... ...that depends on who you ask, I think. Normal controllers are a barrier for people who aren't configured for memorizing button controls, or who grew up without the familiarity. For them, the Wii controller simply allows them to play games we've already been playing for a long time. For us, it offers an alternative means of control that constitutes new gaming experiences. It adds more fun to the game industry as a whole, but its appeal is accessibility, I think, not because it's more fun. I'm not optimistic that the Natal or the Move are capable of generating the same kinds of gameplay we've been seeing with the Wii. That's both good and bad. The Move is not a Wiimote. It functions in a fundamentally different way. It's strength is in different applications. Trying to ape the Wii is the wrong move, IMO. Natal is more obviously different.

Why must PC gamers must feel so good that they can waste 20 minutes for learning controls on PC games... And the majority of average people don't think this far into it, you could tell them its amazing and they would believe you. You could say it sucks and they will still get it. A good example of this is every Apple product, if people would think about it and do their research and do the smart thing, of course you would be right. But these days you can't predict how something is going to do, I bet the move and especially the Natal will be overrated, saying its "Revolutionary" but sadly most people are dependent on no what they consider, but however they are influenced and what they think and want to have is all not based on facts. If people would be all facts and research we wouldn't have Apple, the wii would be way at the bottom of the food chain and the PC would own all for now, PS3 would be better then 360 (I have good reasons to believe that, if you don't agree then go ahead and swap the spots in your mind. I don't really care) and I bet XBL would be free. So now when I see a thread on how the facts say that says the best gaming system is the PC "facts inside" its pointless to argue. My opinion is i like PS3 the best, then PC. I don't expect any random person on a forum to change my mind, its about preference.

Let's get this clear: I have a PS3. I like it. I generally like gaming on my PC more, but as you say, that's a preference thing. The games I like happen to be on PC - nothing more. When I say that I don't think we'll be seeing good games on Move or Natal similar to what we've seen on the Wii, it's based not on market perception or popular behavior - it's based on the hardware. The Move is simply not capable of some things the Wiimote can do, and the Move is capable of some things the Wiimote cannot do. They have different strengths. Trying to copy Wii games with a Move will only result in inferior experiences, and people begin thinking that it's just a poor man's Wii. Even if, somehow, the Move managed to have similar performance, it's just not enough - it's still just a late-coming Wii. What Move needs to do is demonstrate that it's got a killer app, that only IT can do best.

I doubt they would need to show it at its full potential, people sucker up easy and it ruins it for us real gamers that actually want it for a good reason. So far it looks like a mistake with the games shown

Actually, as I understand it, the Wii is bought by people for real games that cost real money, and usually it's specifically for gameplay reasons. I don't know what "richer" means, but I'm fairly sure most of the major consoles have something to offer.roxlimn
Wii just nailed it, they have no competition in the games that the Wii is made for. Until the PS3 and 360 come out with their Motion controls the Wii is going to seem more fun then regular same controller gameplay.

The PS3 blu ray defense brings nothing to the table...I have a blu ray player and I didn't have to shell out much cash. The HIGH end PC owners here all prob have Blu Ray players/burners. :p

IWKYB
I didn't shell out much cash for the PS3. Its cheaper then it sound be and bluray is a good idea for the system, adding more lifespan to the PS3.

[QUOTE="madsnakehhh"]

[QUOTE="Dataleak"]

But that's you personally. Some might say the PC offers better exclusives then the consoles. So PC wins. Because a particular consoles has certain games you prefer doesn't remove the fact that the PC still has better exclusive features (mods, ect).

Dataleak

And some might say that Consoles offers better exlcusives that PC. So Consoles Wins. Because PC has certains games you prefer doesn't remove the fact that Consoles still has better exlusives (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Uncharted, etc.) and better features (offline game, Wiiware, etc)

Sorry, but you didn't prove anything other that you prefer PC over consoles, that's fine, but never claim that is superior, because is not, is all about opinions and preferences.

PC has these too. Arma, Stalker, Dawn Of War. It also has offline and splitscreen co op. Plus it has arcade style games like Wiiware. But consoles DO NOT have PC exclusive features. I play consoles too, but it's obvious that PC gaming is a far richer experience. This isn't preferences or opinions, it's fact.

It is still based on preference, people don't buy a Wii for the graphics or the gameplay. Few buy if for games they want and the rest buy it for people who don't play the popular genre of games/ more advanced games. I would have to call that a straight up preference, unless the fact is that the Wii has a far richer experience. You can argue your point and even if you are 100% right or just being blindly ignorant, its not going to change minds. Your trying to make an owl jog at noon.
