Dear Nintendo,

I am now 25 years older than when we first met. I have purchased no less than 9 Zelda Games, 9 Mario games, and 4 Mario Kart games in those years. Making more just isn't going to make me want to buy a Wii U and unfortunately you don't have any other exclusive games that I have enough (if any) interest in to justify the hardware purchase.

Sincerely,

Gamers Everywhere

@Redsyrup @HipHopBeats " Did you think the environments felt cramped in Bioshock? Does BI have the same feeling?"

No, in fact I think they went out of their way to make it less "corridor" feeling even in an indoor area.

I've played about 30 hours of infinite, went back and played some Bioshock 2. Feels incredibly claustrophobic.

@Sevenizz "if I want a good story, I'll read a book or watch a movie"

Yeah this game is not for you.

Thankfully.

Clearly rational people know the difference between day one DLC which is ok, and ON THE DISC DLC that is unlocked with a code download, which is totally criminal.

Right?

@FireVixen He used to work for Gamespot before leaving to become a founding member of Giantbomb.com which was recently purchased by the same company that owns Gamespot. Honestly, he's one of the main reasons why Gamespot became popular at all.

I think this game is fantastic and well worth a couple bucks. If you like the graphics style and are open to ambiguous storytelling and some mild creepiness. It's great.

So I just loaded up The Ville and poked at it for a few minutes, and yeah I can definatly see why EA has to do this lawsuit. It is very very similar. If they don't sue then they open the door to all the other companies that already mimic what Zynga does.

However, how the hell can you argue that no one is allowed to ever make a game like the sims and if you can make that game how do you make the graphics, systems and mechanics different enough to not provoke a law suit?

I personally think Zynga should be allowed to make a Sim Social styled game, but at the same time EA does need to set presidence to stop companies from copying too much.

This argument is not Diablo vs Torchlight or anything like that... you could photoshop just the words Sim Social onto a screenshot of The Ville and it would fool just about anyone.

In the end I'm sure the prof. is right, they'll settle, subtle changes to the game will be made and both sides will call it a victory.

"Does the young, vocal male audience support female-on-female romance, but not male homosexuality?" Yes and the advertisers know this, which is exactly why they used female on female in the marketing. "Public perception of BioWare had been slowly shifting" BioWare is dead. It's maybe unfair to place the blame solely on EA, but also near impossible not to.
