I'd like to see the online fixed up and truly integrated. I'd like in game access to the XMB so I can voice chat/text chat with my friends, listen to my own music in game, check how my downloads are doing in the background, etc. I'd like this truly integrated so it works exactly the same across all games. As for the PVR functionality that's coming here to Australia early next year, but for now I'll stick to my Vista Media Center box for all of that.

I don't use mine for anything other than games or movies. Actually I don't really even watch movies on it anymore.

[QUOTE="CronoStrife"]So if I install Windows on my PS3 will I be able to play PC games, namely orange box?ynfive
Somehow with installing linux on your ps3 you can install a windows emulator. you gotta know what you are doing though and if you figure it out let us know as i have wasted hours on the net and in syntax to make sense of thiis. unix makes me *Sigh* feel dumb.

There is no point installing a Windows emulator to play games on your PS3. The main problems you will strike are; PS3 Linux has no support for 3D acceleration, PS3 Linux only has access to 256 MB of RAM, the Cell processor and x86 are nothing like each other so you have to use emulation not virtualization. What does this all mean? It just doesn't work, and will not be worth your time. The best you can expect to do on a PS3 with Linux would be to get DOS box, MAME (old 2D games only), and some old school console emulators working. You will never get decent Windows support - EVER!

Yeah I want to pay money to walk around a virtual world looking like a computer character. That is well worth my hard earned cash. Nearly as much as handing over cash for virtual furniture. /sarcasm

I got a voucher today for some money off at one of the stores I import from. Considering I get about AUD$40 off Australian retail I thought what the hell and ordered a copy of Uncharted. I have no idea when I'll receive it though, customs is always swamped at this time of the year.

Resistance is a great FPS. IMHO it has recently been over taken by the amazing Call of Duty 4. The Eye of Judgment is fun if you have someone else to play with. Single player is pretty good too. Online is horrible imo.
