Quite a packed show there guys! Here's my 2 cents on it all:
1 - Esports should not be in the Olympics for me; the Olympics are about physical acuity with alignment with skill. Whilst it's nice to get acknowledgement from that community I believe they should be kept separate.
2. The Xbox GUI has always been overly complicated - a streamlining of the system would be well received.
3: Destiny 2 merch - too much - esp the candles & the robe - know your limits! Generating more hype & cash from what will most likely rip a hole in your wallet from day 1? pass thank you very much. But did make me think I would seriously consider Game of Thrones Baubles for Christmas.
4: PermaDeath - I quite like the idea (Iron Man Xcom - hello?), making people more acutely aware of their actions and making them think about engaging? I think it's a winner; Makes me think old school gaming - You've got 3 lives, make them count or it's game over, none of this namby pamby hoity toity 'check point' malarky.
Format - 50/50 on this; as mentioned in the other comments, once a week on a Friday for the top 5 I think it would be pretty decent; but you need a bigger sofa you 3 did not look comfortable there and are probably breaking some obscure HR rules about proximity to co-workers!
Totally agree on the Destiny 2 point; the original required you to purchase the PS Plus subscription on top of the game just to get the full experience of the game at release, that's before any additional purchases such as the DLCS that followed later.The cost of continuing to play after the initial purchase was ridiculous to me.
After trying the first game, (Which I thought it was OK at best) I am going to avoid this game as thinking about how Activision are going to bring out more costly DLCs similar to the first game just makes it a no-go for me.
If they want a good example of how to get people to buy into expansions they should follow CD Projekt Red.
Do you think that the Lannisters are good candidates for a PPI check? I hope they've started their claim as there is a deadline now...
It's a pity about Olena, she was a great foil for Cersei and would have been a good adviser for Daenerys.
But looking quite happy about Euron being a sexpest there Lucy.... enjoying that character much?
Enjoying the series but it appears to have gone Turbo now they know they have to wrap up the entire story line in 10 episodes; which is a pity as the pacing in the previous series helped make it so enticing.
@Saladudo: I have to say I'm the complete opposite - I've been playing HOTS since the beta and still enjoy it and I enjoy watching the HGC on Twitch. And Yes I do have 'über fun' playing in a team with my mates.
I tried Overwatch during a trial weekend.... hated it.
Just goes to show that it's different strokes for different folks. Just enjoy what you enjoy playing and if it's not your bag then leave it for those who do enjoy it and the scene around it.
@xshinobi: I agree with the original DOW - but DOW II switched to that squad based game which was rubbish - i preferred it as the RTS it was originally; especially with the Winter Assault pack.
@Goobshoeriot: Absolutely 100% with you there - Akira should be left alone, especially if they are courting Justin Lin to be involved with it. Somethings should just be left in their original state and appreciated that way.
They should have left Ghost in a Shell alone too but too late for that one.
