it's too bad...sony i mean. ps2 was a great system but this whole thing has bad news written all over it. i'm with the majority on this one: not buying one
Carrie made some good points... I'm thinking sales for the ps3 are going to be pretty low with purchases made mostly by "hardcore" (nerds without girlfriends) gamers & rich kids who whine to their parents to get what they want. the $600 price tag is just asinine. you figure after you drop some dime for one or two games & all the required accessories you're in the hole about $1k. I was a big ps2 fan but sony pretty much lost me with this announcement. I picked up a 360 about 3 months ago & don't regret it for a second. It really feels like a system for the people. i hear complaints about $60 per game but if you think a few yrs back n64 titles were $49-50 new. just buy preowned & you don't feel so bad. there's not a slew of titles out now but some really decent games. & next year holds some really impressive stuff. & as for the wii I think it's too soon to tell. I have a hopeful feeling that nintendo is smart & will push gameplay over graphics. I still to this day feel the snes was the best system ever. nintendo's been in this race for over a decade & hopefully will surprise us in the coming months.
