@so_hai: It is easy to forget that CIG had to start from scratch to build a business to where they are at today. If you didn't know that then you do now. There should be some leeway in that truth because people readily forget where they came from and how fast they have grown. That growth takes away from the making of the game. I'm sure you understand this.

@hrv_25: Your comment makes no sense to even someone who is antagonistic to the project as a whole. What do you say to those persons who pre-order games? Are they also delusional? How is "waiting" for something in need of having to do "...better things in your life."? What do you say to all the little kids that wait each year for Santa Clause to come to their house and bring them gifts? Do you think that they sit by the fireplace 364 days of the year forcing their parents to bring them food and a bucket to relieve themselves while they wait?

Do you understand why now your comment makes no sense?

@DJJeSta09: What CIG "intends" to do and what they ACTUALLY do are diametrically opposed to one another. I've never seen anything even remotely accurate about the roadmap. The roadmap, as I have said to another person, is a mear suggestion.

@mogan: Squadron 42 has been planned on being episodic from the very start if my memory serves me correctly. So, no new news there for me.

Your link, while appreciated, to me is worthless. They have never had an accurate roadmap for anything that they have shown to us on it and I consider it to be the LOSEST of documents in existence. To me, it is a mear suggestion of what they would like to do. I pay little to no attention to it.

@phili878: "...to bad for him..." ? Who is this him that you speak of? Chris Roberts? How is it bad for him?

If you haven't been following the project closely for the past year, it is evident that CR has not been in the spotlight for quite a while. Only on the Pillar Talks. I don't know if his non-presence has also spilled over into his management of the project or not. I suspect that he might be giving up some of his executive decisions to people that he trusts, such as Eric, Kirk, Tony, Sean, Pappy, and Brian. To name but a few. Chris has essentially been AWOL as of late. And Sandi even more so.

If you were the CEO of the company, you would run it as you see fit. You might also see the criticisms of the community as being inept because you don't have all the pieces of the puzzle in front of you and just dismiss that criticism as being out of hand. I'm sure that this is the way CR is thinking and outright brushes away the talk from the community.

In any case, we will be getting no accounting of the costs of this litigation for the backers to consume. Unless one of them or a group of them decide to pursue something to get said info.

@millionsedge: ...I do not think that it will ever be "complete" in the sense of a normal AAA game. And I think that it was, by design, meant to be that way. There will be some sort of a soft release at some point in the future. But how they continue to monetize the game beyond that soft release date is a mystery. DLC? Continued ship sales? Cosmetics or boosters? Who knows.

@mogan: ...People said that Sq. 42 was supposed to be released at the end of this year. But that is just the people's opinions that are the backers. There has been no official statement from CIG on when it is to be released. I do believe as the end of this year approaches that we will get word on a more exact release date.

@Crazy_sahara: CryEngine (now Lumberyard) is woefully underpowered for a game such as this. I'm frankly surprised they have been able to cobble together anything that works at all for this game. They are still having monumental problems with the online abilities of the game and will for some time to come. In fact, there are those who believe that, for what they want to do, the task is impossible without the invention of new technologies to accomplish it. Right now I believe, you can only have 50 people per server. A very underwhelming amount of people for a game of the scale that Star Citizen is.

@lonewolf1044: No game is an "investment". Games are bought for fun. For you to play. Investments are made on the stock exchange. Only you can say whether or not the $45-ish dollars you plop down is a worthy amount for the enjoyment you get.
