@jokesey: I'd try a few things. First, if possible plug an ethernet cable into your xbox one. That solved most of my problems. Using wireless is just asking for extra trouble.
Go to your system settings and change your xbox start-up to the slower startup option. I know that's counter-intuitive. I found with the fast start-up, my connections were frequently lost and video quality was worse. I'd rather wait an extra minute and not have to deal with restarting my xbox 8 times.
Cycle your modem/router. Make sure the xbox is off while doing this and wait a few minutes before restarting the xbox. Give this restart a little more time than the others.
Press and hold the xbox power button for ten seconds, until the xbox resets. Don't bother with this one until you've done everything else.
1.use an ethernet cable
2.change startup settings
3.cycle modem/router
4.reset xbox
I did all of these things, in this order and I only occasionally have problems. I noticed my video playback was significantly better and my games actually appeared a little brighter.
