Reasons gaming and art cant be compared: 1.(good) Artists didnt do it for the money 2.Art can be seen for free at museums (some museums require a small admittance fee, but you arent paying to see ONE piece of work) 3.Artists dont expect you to buy into them so they can complete their piece (DLC holla) 4.A piece of art has no beginning, no ending, no timeframe from which to enjoy it. it is just there, and what anyone thinks of it is their own perceptions of the piece. Video gaming is a blunt media (not an artform, at least not in bioware's case) that throws a blanket over everyone's head by making them think that their opinions or choices matter. Mass effect isn't art. they messed with a lot of people with such copout endings, and I feel that they should change the ending(s); not because the audience tells them to, but because of all the hours everybody who played the first two games put into being a good/bad person, and was hoping that it was all for something, when in the end nothing mattered. Unless, of course, "nothing you do matters in life" is the morale of the entire series, in which case I say go for it.

Wasn't there a news article like this when the psp was released after the ds? nobody cares; the vita will still get smoked by the 3DS, despite having sweet games that you cant find on the 3ds, and more power. You just can't compete with nintendo's corner of the market when it comes to handhelds. It is really best for both sides if we keep these unprofessional articles on the DL before we lose all credibility as an "unbiased" news corporation. That being said, I wish the vita better luck than its predecessor, and better luck in america, and I hope to see some sweet exclusives like the psp had.

The problem isnt that the consumer isnt given any rights, its that the developer's of the games and systems hate anything that doesnt get them the most money for their investment. I know that this is an obvious fact, but seeing as how all stores across the nation pretty much "break even" when selling new games, its hard to find a reason to NOT sell used. Its literally the only way a store can make money by selling games; by taking our old ones and selling them at marked up prices. Many would call that a ripoff, and in a time of ebay and craigslist, the trading in of games is even considered a last resort, because everybody has the same mind when it comes to their games; Money. The new xbox not supporting used games seems like an almost impossible feat, unless it also required a CD code like PC's, but let's not forget how that turned out. Now you can search google and find a CD key generator for Absolutely anything that requires it, and chances are you can find the disc without needing to buy it too. Don't even start me on how not all games are available forever new. especially games by Atlus; if they even earn a penny for each used game bought, then they would probably fight to the death to make sure that the systems supported used games, because they print so few copies for such a short period of time. businesses should be worrying more about whether their game is worth buying new, instead of how they can force a consumer-based world into buying new.

LOL everyone here knows that GS is mostly catered towards the HD consoles (360 more than ps3 even as of recently), both staff AND community. That's not saying that the next consoles wont be big, which im sure they will, im just saying that gamespot is the fox news of the video game community.

This may be the single most bias piece of writing I have ever seen on this site, and I've read some stuff. I would call this a technological tabloid at the risk of insulting tabloids, but I feel that that may still even be too harsh to tabloids. I have come to accept that this site is run by Multiplat fanboys (just look at the most tracked games) and I understand that the gamespot staff has to cater to a certain audience, but writing like this is truly disgusting to see. Anyone who can remember the DS launch knows exactly how it feels to not have any games for the longest time, at least nintendo is releasing SOMETHING for us this time around, and at a decently proportioned manner, nevermind how the sales of the system have become extravogent in comparison to its previous sales after the price drop, and cured most of the 3rd party worry (aside from *1* unnamed source that, of course, GAMESPOT is the one who reports, typical BS.). So this is me resigning to the fate that the gamespot writing staff cares as much about actual KNOWLEDGE of games as gamestop does. whatever, there are much better news sources out here, I just hate so much to see such ignorant bias thrown into the fray of news.
