MODERATOR'S NOTE: Poll and list threads are not allowed in GGD.

I know I have asked this one before but thought I'd do it again for 2009 as a whole.

Have not had a chance to play Killzone 2 on the PS3 so I don't know how it fares but remeber the original having good gun reloading animation.

What are your choices?

I'm thinking of signing up for Steam but I have a question that I hope anyone here can help me with.

I have a physical retail copy of the original Half Life Game of the Year edition and I was wondering what would happen if I put the CD key from that game into Steam? Would it just unlock that game or others too? Preferably also Counter Strike 1.6

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Just wondering who thinks that movies/film are still able to be an effective medium when video games go furthur and allow people to really interact with the story, gameworld, npcs, etc.

Me, I appreciate both mediums on different levels.

How many people are so into video games that watching a movie is no longer worth it if they can't control what's going on?

How many feel that such a thread is stupid since these two mediums can't/shouldn't be compared?

Anyway, all thoughts welcome.

they use the same game engine as the first game in the series.

Some examples that come to mind are Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Yakuza 2, Saints Row 2.

Not that I think games released in this manner are bad, they are just more or less 1.5 games (expansion packs even) as opposed to # 2, new game engine sequels.

What other games do you think follow this pattern and are really just 1.5 versions rather than true "2" sequels as a result of using the same game engine?

Just saying. I know there's a lot of hype for The Conduit but there also needs to be a great modern day realistic fps for the Wii and Red Steel 2 will fit that mold perfectly which is why it needs to be done right.

Anyway, what do you think?

Just wondering why this is?

Also this is my 1st time attempting to use a custom image with my Gamespot profile so maybe i messed up somewhere. Oddly though the image is scaled correctly in the default prodile location(ie, when I just browse GameSpotnormally while logged in) and the image is only screwed up and out of scale when seen in a forum post, my main Gamespot profile home page, etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.
