apparently free online, cheaper games, mods, better performance and graphics are not decisive factors in choosing Pc over the consoles.

I don't think it's because of the price either..cause I mean, look at how expensive console games and accessories are. so what is it? lack of games on Pc? commercial? laziness?

Well lets take a look at what you just said:

1) Cheaper games: Your right about that one. 2) mods: Consoles get downloadable content now that replaces mods and are similar to them, also updates that fix glitches like some mods do. 3) Better Performance and Graphics: Well, you have to upgrade your system A LOT and have a fat wallet to do so.

To go with your last part, its not lack of games on PC, its probably just the fact that you have to upgrade your PC so much to get the best quality now. With a console you don't have to, and developers make games better as they find ways to work with the system. Also people may not like the mouse and keyboard controls anymore after using controllers. Just my thoughts

I can't help but agree with the topic creator. I bought a 360 at launch, was hooked and it never let up. I bought a Wii in April 2007 and yeah Wii sports was addictive with friends. I already had Zelda for gamecube so I didn't need it for Wii. Then Mario Galaxy comes around and that was great, but the problem was the 360 had COD4 and Halo 3, plus other hits that year. I barely paid much attention to the Wii even with Mario! Now that's a problem, Mario is one of the most fun games I've ever played! Also when Brawl hit, I was pumped, but none of my friends were interested with it because they waited so long for it too because I first told them about it years before. That basically put the nail in the coffin. Ever since then I've come back to it from time to time, but never really invested THAT much time into it like my Xbox 360. I bought a PS3 for bluray and because it came free with a new HDTV, which I needed, and I've even started playing that thanks to God of War Collection. Might even buy Killzone 2 and the Uncharted games. The Wii's main problem is shovelware. They've cranked out so much of it I've just lost even more interest in it thinking it only has a few good games, and that those good games are really only the classic franchises. Sorry Nintendo, you failed to impress. Let's hope you learn next time

YOu know its funny, all through 2007 a bunch of Sony fanboys had been screaming at Xbots and Nintendites that the PS3, despite dismal sales and bad game lineups, was headed to make a big comback in 2008. Well, 2008 came, and now its December, and you know what I'm wondering? WHERE'S THE PS3 COMEBACK YOU FANBOYS WERE YELLING ABOUT????!!!!

Ok first off they claimed all of their games would be totally awsome and would cause the system to dethrone the Wii and 360 this year. Well I havn't seen any of that, even with your precious Metal Gear Solid 4! Its funny even that game couldn't push sales! And also a bazillion of your games have been delayed as well, and games you hyped to oblivion have flopped. (Haze anyone??)

Not to mention Microsoft did the best marketing attack recently. They cut the price to just 200 dollars. Thats even more expensive than the Wii! Now the Xbox is selling a lot, and of course now with Gears of War 2 its doing even better! Sure we may have seen a flop or two of games this year, but not as much as Sony guys! Sony better do something.....

So why don't you Sony fanboys come over here and give me your reason why your beloved system has fallen short yet again! I'll be waiting.....

I'll admit I don't think the graphics are that great either. I was pretty underwhelmed as well when I put it in the disk tray first thing after I got it. Up close, building detail looks blurry at best and blood effects are last gen. From a distance and in third person things look pretty great but nothing near GeOW detail or Uncharted detail. To me the game's graphics were a disappointment, the game itself, worth most of it.

That's right folks, I just saw it on X-play. It said "new Kid Icarus Wiivealed" or something like that, saying it will be shown at E3 this year by its developers (whom I can't remember) I'm serious though. If you can, find the episode of where they review Alone in the Dark, that's the episode where it said the new Kid Icarus for Wii was confirmed on the littler scroller at the bottom of the screen. Sounds like we have something to look forward to, let's hope they don't disappoint! :)

Gamespot said they would never give another 10 again, what a lie! Seriously, with GTAIV and MGS4 whats with this? GTAIV doesn't totally deserve a 10, and neither does MGS4. They all have problems! GTAIV has targeting issues and pop-in problems, and those undermine the score. I love the game but it doesn't deserve a 10. As for MGS4, I'm not totally sure but I'll have to see what I experience. In short though, they're great games, really fantastic. Im happy PS3 guys got a great game with them now, they deserve it after all this waiting. But the games don't deserve perfect scores because they have problems with them one way or the other. The only other game I see that really doesn't have any problems at all is Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, somethings magical about that game. And MGS4 and GTAIV don't deserve to be the best games of all time on this site, they should be after Ocarina and Chrono Trigger in my opinion. But still, these games aren't perfect, but I'm not saying they're bad, I think they both rock.

P.S.- if GTAIV's going to be the best game of all time on that list, the 360 version should be before the PS3 because of DLC.

Not only does this guy's thread epicly fail, but he got the whole "360 is Iraq" thing totally wrong, and the "PS3 is the US". Watch the news man and see that Iraq has been doing much better lately. And the PS3 is not taking over the 360, its millions of units behind and WILL BE EVEN AFTER MGS4 IS RELEASED because their bundle is 500 bucks. So PS3 isn't at all like the US except in terms of power. Wii, I'd say your mostly right there, but it still is kicking the PS3's butt.

Oblivion! Seriously I would like to see how that game could be made into a film (Main story wise, other stuff left out) I would like to see an actually epic battle at Bruma, with hundreds of soldiers from each city and the Legion fighting against the Daedra. It would be cool to see all the cities too, with hundreds of people acting as townsfolk and guards. Lead roles, Sean Bean as Martin (I know it sounds odd since he was Martin, but he'd be great) Jason Stathem as the hero, the guy who played Count Duko in Star Wars II and III as Mankar Cameron (with make up to make him like a dark elf) The place it should all be made is Austrailia, and the director without a doubt Peter Jackson. He made amazing Lord of the Rings movies, and I'm sure he'd make Oblivion a great one too.

And I do mean the main story as the movie, not everythign in it.

It's always the same respnse from you sheep. " We have Zelda, Mario, Metroid". Wow. What else? I can hear the crickets chirping. The third party titles are nearly nonexistant - at least good third titles. Nintendites are like broken records, naming those same three franchises every time someone tells them the truth about the pitiful compilation of games on the wii. then they go on to state how well it's selling. Yes, its easy to sell a system predominantly played by senior citizens and 5 year olds. Also, if you want to name a console that was really innovative, look at the Sega Dreamcast. It bombed, but did all the thnigs the Wii did 7 years prior, including - to some extent - motion controls with the maracas and fishing pole controller.

So, the Wii is: underpowered, not very innovative, has a sorry assortment of games compared to its cometitors, and it's a cash cow that people stop playing after a few months that collects dust.

Yeah why don't you go back and play your very few PS3 exclusives that you have eh?
