It's more of a case of that weren't complaining about it anymore. Sony's been losing money keeping the online free so it was just a matter of time. The fact that people are all of the sudden trusting Sony and their security policies from the past is beyond me. Â I'll admit, I was seriously considering getting a PS4 but hated myself for it because of BS everyone seems to forget that Sony put everything through when they thought it was a glorious idea to store passwords in plain text. Â Everyone remember?? Â How long was PSN down for? Â Months? Â Now that MS has had a change of heart its a no brainer for me....Â
But... But... Sony's sh!t smells like roses.... Â HA!!! Sony's past is a hell of a lot worse than what Microsoft pulled with XB1, and there is no denying that. Â
I get that people get hacked, and there is no one that is safe, even Microsoft. Â Though when companies do not care enough and do the absolute minimum which put peoples identities at risk, and then sell out their employees. Â Sorry... never forgiven for that. Â Say what you will about Microsoft and the fiasco that was XB1, though I trust Microsoft a hell of a lot more than Sony when it comes to giving them financial information.
Well lets see. Sony screwed up massively from that incident, that's inarguable. After something like that happens I doubt they'd wanna get lazy with their web security anymore and they've been doing their best to make up for that incident. Whether or not it will happen again, we don't know. But I'm sure Sony didn't take that incident lightly since it's damaged their reputation massively. Now lets look at Microsoft who's been having a PR disaster since the Xbone announcement. They go the whole week of E3 trying to justify Xbone's always online and DRM only to take it off days later due to the response Sony's gotten from E3. I don't know about you but after Microsoft did the equivalent of telling people complaining about those issues (including 360 owners) to f**k off back to the 360 I wouldn't say they're trustworthy either. At least we see Sony trying to improve after this gen.
