@Ultima_Dragoon: Chinese virologist Li Meng Yan ( @LiMengYAN119 ) was banned back in 2020 for suggesting COVID-19 came from a laboratory. In 2022, the lab leak hypothesis is now considered just as plausible as the wet market hypothesis.
This is the type of Twitter free speech issue that needs fixing.
This seems obvious...but it's not really indicative to a change in taste...you simply have more access to mobile devices at more times of the day than you do on a traditional gaming platform.
If a kid plays angry birds on his/her phone while being a passenger in the car or while running errands with his Mom (for example) does this means he/she is choosing angry birds over a high production value console game? The answer is no, he/she is simply passing time on what's available.
@mishdogg @fscobie That's a really good point, I couldn't imagine playing Dragon Age: Origins on anything other than a PC...it's been a big debate for me whether to get a new gaming PC or hold off until the PS4
I couldn't disagree more. The developement costs associated with the newer hardware are so high that is makes entry into the market prohibitively expensive.
What's worse, and we see this in the movie industry all the time, is this fixiation on graphics as being the be all and end all. Graphics is just one of many aspects to a good game. My favorite game in 2008, by far, was Persona 4 and this was released on the PS2 well after the release of the PS3. Didn't matter that the graphics were outdated, it was a great game and better than anything the PS3 had to offer.
Finally a game worthy of a movie. It's sickening how many movies based on video games that have come out all of which are horrible. Doom, Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, Prince of Persia etc YUCK, they have all been so awful.
A Deus Ex movie, if done properly, could be great, mainly because most people won't even realize it a move based on a video game.
Why are people still talking about this? The best we can hope for is that they achieve some level of redemption with the Extended Cut DLC. This story doesn't change anything or vindicate them in anyway.
