It all began yesterday when I decided to play LotR Conquest. I began to play since I hadn't had played in a while and at first it was running as it should have. But then it began to have these wierd and frequent periods of time where the entire game would just slow down and lag severely. I didn't think much of it and assumed it was a problem with the game and left it alone.

Today I got to play another game and the same thing happens. It'll run fine for a few minutes then after that it will have like 10 minutes worth of pure slow down. The framerate goes down the drain and it lags so bad I can't play. I became pretty angry and tried another game. Exact same thing happens. No matter what game I play it will, every few minutes, slow down to the point where you can't do anything. I tried the options, I tried many things. But no matter how I tinker with the games they still refuse to give up on this random lag. Heck, I restarted my computer.

I've had this computer for more than two years and it has worked just fine up until now. I've never encountered a problem similar to this ever before. Yesterday was when it began and I have no idea why. Does anybody have any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it? My computer is an HP Pavilion a6300f PC and it's hardware definately meets the requirements of all these games. So why do they refuse to play properly now?

EVGA Nvidia Geforce 9400GT 1GB DDR2

That's just about a specific as I can get I think, does that help? Again sorry.

Hey I'm not real familiar with the graphics card thing but a while back I bought #60 the Geforce 9400 GT and I have a question.

So I want to run most of my games on the highest quality or very close, and right now medium is all it can provide. HOWEVER, I only have 2GB RAM. If I were to upgrade my RAM to say 6GB would I get close to the highest performance or would I be better off buying a brand new one for my computer. It would be a lot cheaper to buy more RAM but I do want performance and if RAM isn't going to provide me with it then... I'll buy a new one. One last thing, I can run all of my games in the highest quality but I get a decent amount of lag which I have found kills my experience. So everything looks fantastic it just runs slower.

Now I may upgrade in the future when I have more money but for now I'm looking for the most effecient cheap method. I just want good graphics for a good price.

I think that Nintendo itself is doing great. It has only made 5 casual games thus far which were all released reasonably far appart and they have released a good share of hardcore games. They continue to make sequels that are amazing like Zelda and Mario, then they revive old franchises such as Sin and Punishment and Punchout, and lastly I have heard word of new IPs from this thread so they've got everything. The fact that they have made casual and mixed it in just means that they are extending their reach. I think Nintendo is doing fine and I wouldn't want it any other way. :)

Honestly I can say that TP isn't one of the top Zelda games even in my opinion but coming back to the original topic it was still a great game. Even the lowest of the low for Zelda (well except the CDi) is still pretty dang good. That's proof enough that Zelda is far from it's grave.

That's another problem with this hype. We want what we got but we want something new. And it seems to high and out there to have both at once.

Alrighty let's get things straight here; I believe, while Zelda may have it's off moments, most of what's happening is that Zelda is not getting increasingly worse and dying, but we as the gamers are just setting such high expectations. I've seen this happen to some other great series too *cough*SSB*cough*! Honestly what happens is we get something memorable like OoT or in another case SSBM and then that becomes our new bar. No matter how much we deny it, this is all true. And what we don't subconciously take into account is that games like OoT come very rarely and we may never get a Zelda that good again. But just because we're not going to get another 10.0 Zelda it doesn't meant that the series is dead. Another possibility is that we overhype it. We see a game we want and we start building up anticipation. And the more we wait the more we begin to expect from it. Then the game is released and what happens? The perfect game to withstand the erosion of time doesn't come out and it ends up only being a earthly game made by programmers working their hardest. But it doesn't end there! Subsequently we begin to despise the game for not being unrealistically great and stab at the series and begin to hate it because we built too high of expectations. And I swear with every great series it does happen or it is going too. The way I see it, Zelda isn't letting us down but we are letting Zelda down.

Alrighty I have the Logitech Chillstream gamepad and I'm not much with a mouse so in most of my games I need to use it. However there are those few games unfortunately that don't support the gamepad. Now I know that there are a few emulators and stuff out there, but I'm not quite sure which works best and is easier to use. So if you could just give me a few pointers on something that will convert keystrokes ect. into gamepad buttons or vice versa if I would really apprechiate it because I use my PC quite a bit now. I don't want anything to fancy but more user friendly and effective. Free would be nice but if it has a cost that's alright. Thank you!

Okay so for the past few months I have been trying to upload a video and yet I fail every time. So here's the deal:

First I'll go to the information page and that will work perfectly fine. But after I fill out all the information it will take me to the old Gamespot Upload page. Not entirely but some of the page will be old. The the porfile and everything else will be the present GS. Here's the section that turns out old:

GS Video Upload Error Pics

So then I click it and enter my video. As soon as I get my file up I press "upload video" and it will sit there and say "Uploading this may take a few minutes". Then just before the upload bar for progress appears this fills in the area:

GS Video Upload Error Pics 2

Then that's the end of it. My video never ends up uploading and I never get it onto GS. I'd just like to know what is going on and if it's a GS glitch or my computer. I haven't yet tried a seperate computer but I figured that I should check here before moving all that data to another computer to upload it.

Thanks for your help!

So whenever I go to post a video this wierd glitch happens. I'll post in all of my information then continue to step 2. Well when I get to step 2 it brings me back to the old GS video upload screen of step 2. I'll put my file in then it comes up with a IE error and I can't get past that point. This is all so confusing and wierd. Can you please help so that I can once again upload my videos. :?
