I saw an article yesterday about a promotion in Walmart Canada for the WiiU at 199$. I went to futureshop (bestbuy) and ask then to give me a WiiU for that price + 10% off. The manager was skeptic but he double checked the ad and I got my WiiU for a ridiculous 220$ tax-in. Sure its the white version with less memory but I slap a cheap 32go drive in the USB hub behind and its ok. I didn't finish the inital septup but the range of the danm gamepad is so weak. I read some tips to get rid of the interferences in my living room but I don't want to mess up my whole apartment to please that stubborn gamepad.

Moral of the story if you find a good deal in store, go check in other store who are prices policies to buy your gear for less.

I just came back from a demo booth from a mall close to my job and I feel the same as many people here. I came there at first to ask some technicals questions to the staff to see if my livingroom was depth enough and few other thing. I'm was pretty disapointing about the answers. Plus, when I step in the demo booth I really felt this product was mainly made for familly and kid not even casual gamer so I think ll pass this peripheral or at least wait for future development cause the concept at first was really amazing.

Now that Nintendo is the One in casual gaming industry, they should keep this path and revive the inner hardcore gamer spirit with their franchise revamp as a more mature AND artistic games. I' m hoping someday a mature zelda, not an young adult link but an old link one like Snake from MGS in a less childish universe. I really enjoy the latest re-ash title from Nintendo franchise (Zelda, Mario, Metroid) but since I'm an adult I don't judge game by graphics and playhours but by experience it give to you. It's all about the mood it create. Like No More Hero or Mad World. Video game industry is now more like the movie industry, you have blockbuster, independent and other genre that can satisfy a much larger public

First I wonder what the ratio of the three consoles owners in the market. I believe we have a better opinion of what's exactly a good game is cause we have to make a choice a in a wider library of game. In much cases I'll go for exclusives but when it's a multiplatform game, I simple check the review. Most of the time they notice the issues or bug depending the console (like fallout 3 review). Depending on the bug, I'll choose the better version no matter the console. For this topic, as a user between casual and hardcore gamer, I'll would choose the 360. Why, in not really 360 fanboy and all console have great exclusives but 360 seem a great fun pack for most of my gaming need. I use my 360 only as a game console. My PS3 is for game and media center and my Wii is for party when my casual gamer friend come by. A good part of my game library is on the 360 for one good reason, I like to share my game when I'm done with them. The ratio of my friend who own a 360 is much more than the PS3 owner friends. Plus, I simply preffer the 360 controller, the PS3 controller left stick doesn't feel well or natural for me. For media player, ok PS3 have bluray disc and this is why I bought it at first with my HD TV but I record a lot more stuff in 1080p and 720p from internet streaming site. The FAT32 and file format issue problem on PS3 annoy me by I found a way to setup my media network for top notch streaming. I recently start to configure my 360 on my network via Window media centre and I was pretty surprise about the quality of the display and interraction but I don't really need to setup my 360 for media center cause my PS3 already did it but for someone who only have a 360, it should be a good option. And shure PS3 have the 3D tv compatible update but, my new TV is not 3D so forget this pointless technology. The real issue when you own all three console is their is too much games who's coming out every month. I certainly want to play many of those new titles but I can't because of my job I play about 4 or 5 hours max a week with video game. I recently play with New super Mario Bros. Wii but I finish in hurry before FFXIII then now Mass Effect and I still have a factory sealed Bioshock 2 copy waiting for me... too much stuff.
