<< LINK REMOVED >> Yes, and unlike your fanboyisms, at least I come out with specifics about why I don't like Torchlight. Yes I bought it for a ridiculously small amount of money on steam a few months back, but that doesn't mean Im enjoying it. To be fair, the visuals are nice in places, but often the fight is far easy, short of some bosses. I really can't stand, as I said in prior minireview, that you can't see whats going on when in corners or around sides of things. That never happens in Diablo that I can recall, and most def. never in Diablo 3.

I realize TL2 for $20 prob. is a great deal, but I don't like not having a rmah/gah/ah because then I have to rely on getting cheated by someone, I STILL can't stand having to see 'through' walls as its Very oddly disconverting and still not half as good as the amazing job Diablo 3 does. Diablo 3 has far superior visuals given its visuals as a whole.

Call me a fanboy, but at least I have specifics.

If someone gave me a copy of TL2,I'd def. not say no, but at this juncture at least for me, there is a lot I don't like about it. If they address them in a patch, then we'll see.

Wanted toadd, that for parents that want to let kids play this game, you can turn off gore, and instead of blood, the monster just flashes and eventually disappears. WE aren't all savages afterall!

Obviously, he did. I played both DS1 , and 2, and while it took me a bit of getting used to camera angle and game mechanics, I found the game a great entertainment package all around and alot of challenge and fun. I thought the bosses were quite challenging, coop was acceptable though Iget why some were agitated over it, and though game wasn't lengthy compared to other titles, I got mine for $14.95 on steam, so I have zero complaints. DS1 and 2 were epic in length yes, but maybe when DS4<if it does> comes around, they will make up for it. At least D3 has DLC for free, so thats something.Btw, I had zero issues with controls and interface for this game on PC, so I have no idea what kevin is talking about. More ideology I guess from preconceptions. I agree autotargeting being forced to face a challenge was a bit cumbersome, but I got used to it,but I agree ,unless there was a speicifc reason for it, it was a bit sloppy on the DEV side of things. Kevins score also, was a bit low, given the average for this game was 7.2 metacritic. So you see, reviews aren't such a done deal/equality issue as you might seem to think. Not to mention idiotic scores from users, like 0 -2, when its clear they were just here trolling, out of some weird need to hate/troll, and sometimes for a game <ME3 ring a bell ?> thats not even released yet. So yeah, reviewing games has alot of inconsistency to it, which isnt fair to companies who put alot of work into them. Fair is fair. Also, a relatively short game, does not eqate on any level, to a shabby story, thats just ridiculous and further proof of reviewer bias.

I also think, Kevin V, has a serious psychological issue. I never get 'excited' about being able to LOP off a monsters head, and that he does says one of two things < or both>: he's a paid off commentator for DEVS or he's just nuts. I get zero joy from such things, and no reaonably 'sane' person does. Im in games for the FUN of it, not the GORE of it. Seriou issues there Kevin V.

Please do not speak for me, you are not big enough for that. Only one named GOd has that priviledge not some crazed fanboy of other games, that comes to get jollies off putting other great games down :)

OH and btw...no challenge < easy targets> does not a engaging game make. I cont' care how CUTE the toons/areas are,,I want challenge not dumbed down. If they are targeting diablo here, they could have done a TON better in that regard. Diablo gave you a reason to continue. Art style as here was a factor, but you knew the challenge was worthy of your effort. I also see no mention at all < fanboyism much ?> of the horrible camera system in this game making it impossible to see certain things once you are in a corner. Diablo never caused that problem. Seven hours huh...what a joke; diablo was 10 times that long. NOthing to see here, moving right along.

WHy is it so kewl, to talk about 'massive pools of blood' ? Is that some gamer creed, that witout, a game is somehow less than ? I just don't get this fixation on blood in games. Is creativity gone or are people just getting more violent I wonder...HM ?

I found the game very memorable, too bad you were too busy reviewing it and missing those components. I guess you were too busy enjoying your 'flame on' lol

I enjoyed the last abrams film just fine, as it had all the components of classic trek overall. Great acting, great visuals and amazing effects with a backdrop of a great overall story. I do however fully agree with others here, that anything less than a great story, minus stupid FPS nonsense, yet complete with adventure, puzzles and meeting 'aliens races' just like in classic trek , would be a total waste of time, and a huge insult to the memory and intent of Roddenberry . No space game that I can think of to date, has properly encompassed such values, and thats why most fail. Let everyone play their cute little FPS, but leave such things out of Startrek as relates to it being only that. It's fine to have that as a 'component', as startrek did have battles, of course, but we need to makes sure its only a component and that it does not depend on it . I envision a game with a combination of Myst , with action sequences where needed and the rest more like Morrowind/Oblivion. Its time we 'grow up' america/world, and demand games with depth and exploration, where instead of blowing things/people up, we greet them and explore WITH them, and leave the FPS nonsense as a second thought, where needed. ;)

[QUOTE="xoxINSOMNIACxox"]I think the roster suck, i've checked on their website but yah, i'm also interested on this too but im not sure if i should get it. I've tried the demo and its laggy. Is the actual gameplay "Offline" laggy as well? And hows the career mode? does it have mini-games like virtua tennis 3?nahmean187

aite first of all, i have the game and i highly recommend it.

topspin 3 has a really good, deep player creator option that u use to make ur player for career mode. career mode is basically just playing tournaments but its good bc u chose where to put ur players attributes (forehand, power, speed etc.). the roster does kinda suck but ur prbly gonna spend most of the time w/ ur created player so it doestn really effect the game as much.

the gameplay is great. there have been critisisms saying that thers a huge learning curve and that the controls dont respond as well but if u play it for about 20 minutes ull get over the learning curve and if u play tennis, ull know where to hit the ball, which gets rid of the unresponsive movements bc ull know where to move to the next shot. (basically its only unresponsive if u dont know where to go.)

the online is also pretty sweet. its like a world tour, kinda like how the tour works now. cept u can only use ur created player, which once again, gives u more of a reason to use ur career player over other guys when ur playing the game. the onine isnt that laggy and the offline isnt at all.

I dont know where you are playing, but here I have horrible lag after playing a few points..and its consistent ; everytime I try to go online, after a few points the gameplay freezes, and all I can hear are birds chirping and people in stands coughing sometimes...but player animations are froze solid in their current stance.

I may take game back, as I have no lag in any other online experences with ps3.

thx
