We knew that it was coming since the snapshot betas were becoming smaller and smaller. But Mojang has now declared it official. The Minecraft 1.18 release date with all Caves & Cliffs Part 2 features is set to go live in the last week of November. The update will be available across every platform Minecraft supports, and finally will bring us a variety of new biomes, a revamped world generation, and more.
Minecraft 1.18 will be available on November 30. The Java Edition update will be available across Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs as well as the Bedrock Edition will launch on (deep breath) PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 and 11 PCs.
The update features new world generation and improved cave systems, as well as candles. As previously announced, some features were removed from 1.18. They will not be included in 1.19 (also called The Wild update), as the developers have confirmed.
Archaeology, bundles and goat Horns, bundles, and goat "have been put on hold" as the developers explain in the announcement. Minecraft servers have not been taken off the schedule. We simply had to put them on hold for the moment.
