The pure fact that Sony is 'giving away' something with Miles Morales makes me instantly very suspicious of it. Sony are not consumer friendly what do they have up their sleeves eh. Will upgraded backward compatible Spidey PS4 be the same as the upgraded PS5 Spiderman. PS5 launch lineup is terrible so far, microsoft is having loads of stick for not having anything that looks next gen on launch but what is looking next gen on first party PS5 launch? Nada it seems. I hope to see some massive bells and whistles of epic proportions.

Scores do not really matter to me, the type of experience one gamer gets out of a game will be different to another. And I heavily disagree with lots of scores given. Alien Isolation 5.9/10 VS Uncharted 4 10/10 on IGN lol. Ridiculous scores but hey as I said they mean nothing really. What bugs me about review scores a bit is the hate and pure outrage by gamers if a game is given a 8 instead of the 9 or 10 that they need for validation to themselves. Weirdos. I still enjoy reading the written bulk of reviews though, always have.

I would like to see Sony attempt another shooter it's been a hell of a long time since the last one. Rather see Resistance as opposed to Killzone. It was always a more fun and interesting shooter than Killzone, more akin to Half Life and was far more inventive in it's level design, enemy and weapon design.

It's hard to say for sure. Maybe they will sell less Xbox hardware just by purely having gamepass for pc as an option. Most users here who have decent PC's seem like they won't bother with the hardware.

If I did not game on PC then XSX would be the best option. I even prefer PS exclusives to MS but you can't deny the value of gamepass, all exclusives day one and amazing third party games also. Playstation as a whole can't compete with that unless they start improving PS Now as a sub service. But as stated earlier I have a decent PC soo I would choose a PS5 as with gamepass I get the library of all three as Nintendo are irrelevant to me in this day and age also, Nintendo also hold the worst value to gamers of all four platfroms IMO.

Sony isn't trying to compete in that space really. They're all about pushing new exclusives that warrant purchasing new hardware. Different model but a proven one as we can see

Yeah I get what Sony is doing as their exclusives are super popular. But it could mean trouble when Xbox studios start cranking out good shit, assuming they will, along with all dem third party day one gamepass deals. It wasn't that long ago 360 was on top and PS3 was struggling half way through its lifespan.

But in the end the PS3 went on to outsell the 360. Why? Better exclusive content. That's always been their saving grace. And I'm sorry but MS has been leaning on the same franchises for the past 3 generations. Right now Gamepass is their saving grace.

Coming off the back off the PS2, the PS3 barely outselling the X360 is shocking to be honest fella. They were probably the worst days as a Playstation fan, and arguably the PS weakest console entry. I had both and the 360 was a far stronger and better console to me especially through the first 3 or 4 years.

And I agree with you lol I ain't no MS fanboy I like nearly all platforms. Yes, everyone except the diehards are getting tired of Gears, Halo and Forza they need some new strong IP's for sure. I feel that they will get these good exclusives with the next few year too, with studios behind them such as Obsidian, Inxile, Double Fine, Ninja Theory and Rare. I'm expecting it to be a RPG powerhouse if they can get quality games made.

The studio acquisitions show they could get some good variety in games, something Sony first party lacks since they abandoned many awesome Sony IP's. Dreams is probably the most unique and interesting IP Sony has put out in years.

Only maybe Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Bayonetta 2 look really interesting so far so nope. New IP's do not interest me (ARMS and Splatoon), and Mario Odyssey and BOTW look like low points in the series to me from what I have seen.

@floppydics: Just looking at it, can def see why you'd recommend it, looks like pretty much an unofficial fan game.

Yeah the art is beautiful, the crazy thing is that all the art was drawn up by the creator in MS paint. It's basically a crossover love-letter to both Lovecraft and Ito.

Good. He is finally doing what he was meant to.

To be honest more excited about Junji Ito. Get him on board, yea, gonna be something special.

Agreed, Junji Ito is fantastic. Check out World of Horror if you have an interest in Junji Ito, it's actually a pretty good roguelike horror RPG in it's own right, but the the 8-bit Ito aesthetic and design makes it very memorable. Cool soundtrack too and it's in gamepass for PC.

@BassMan: right - that was my point. Nintendo makes things Nintendo-minded people want. That's what they should do - people who like something else already have two behemoths slugging it out over that AND PC

That's fine, but to many hardcore gamers, Nintendo doesn't really matter anymore. They don't care. System Wars is mostly hardcore gamers. So, even if Nintendo has a lot of success with casuals, it doesn't really matter from a SW point of view.

I agree. Most modern Nintendo games you could play with one arm tied behind your back, no challenge and super casual. Old Nintendo games you had to be pretty a pretty good gamer to get through the game. The Nintendo of old is gone and they went all in on the families, kids, man-children and casuals after the wii success. What are their new IP's this gen, Arms and Splatoon? Pretty embarrassing when they had super cool stuff like Eternal Darkness, Doom 64 and Killer 7, where is Starfox, metroid and F-Zero. NuNintendo is wack.
