Resident Evil stopped becoming horror after the first f*cking level of 4, when the infected people (or should I just say messed up Spanish guys who your white ass decided to commit genocide on) can be blown apart by your shotgun within the first 20 minutes of gameplay.
Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth is all the horror I need in my gaming experience, it kicks the sh*t out of most games on the current market.
I don't really think either are going to be great. I'm more hopeful for Fable 2 but they're doing the same thing they did with the first, hyping it up about this world that reacts to your every choice, I'm waiting for a major letdown. It would still be a great, if fairly linear game, they just need to stop barking off about its choices. Fallout 3 is, like has been said before, another chance for Bethesda to make a boring, monotonous game like Oblivion. I'm hopeful because of the previous Fallouts being f*cking awesome but they completely changed the formula. Why can't we have isometric games anymore? Why is it so necessary to make ANOTHER FPS-style game, I don't care if you can do that whole semi-turn-based thing, it's not how Fallout is meant to be.
